  • Publication number: 20150007978
Abstract: An apparatus for containing leaks from a stuffing box on a wellhead production assembly is provided. The apparatus comprises a containment vessel consisting of two half shells that are joined below the stuffing box. Additionally, the apparatus comprises a transparent lid having an upper opening to receive a polished rod extending from the stuffing box. The lid is secured to the containment vessel in a liquid tight manner such that the stuffing box is substantially isolated from the environment. As such, any leaks originating from the stuffing box will be contained in the apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20120297741
Abstract: A work cell assembly such as welding cell assembly and a method for assembling the same is provided. The work cell has a perimeter wall including an upper wall edge defining an open top. A fluid filtration unit draws in fluid from the work cell and removes contaminants. A fluid moving device including an air blade assembly adjacent the upper wall edge and an inlet adjacent the upper wall edge and spaced downstream from the air blade assembly establish therebetween a sheet-like fluid barrier extending across the open top. The fluid barrier is defined by a continuous flow of fluid traveling across the open top for entraining the contaminant and creating a ceiling effect across the open top to prevent escape of the contaminant from the work cell through the open top. The fluid barrier has a narrow vertical extent to prevent disturbance of the fluid in the work cell.

  • Patent number: 7562648
Abstract: A jointless connection head for a fuel line for use in a high pressure fuel connection assembly for a high pressure fuel system and a method for forming the connection head without brazing. The connection head has an essentially spherical outer surface with a liner located in an inner cavity in the connection head. The connection head is formed by expanding the center bore of the tubular body of the fuel line at one end. The center bore is expanded by moving the sidewall of the tubular body outward. The liner is then inserted into the expanded center bore and the sidewall of the tubular body is formed over the front side of the liner.

  • Publication number: 20040103836
Abstract: The present invention over-comes the prior art deficiencies by, in part, defining a hull bottom that decreases the total resistance and thereby reduces the propulsion power needed to propel a boat of a certain weight to a given speed. The invention separates the functions of the planing process resulting in a hull with staged longitudinal steps wherein each step consists of a fully defined hull underbody with a chine and bow and stern. Each intermediate chine describes a supplemental planing surface which is designed to lift the hull dynamically and to position the hull on the next narrower step that supports the weight of the boat and creates the forces needed to further lift the hull to the next narrower chine in two or more stages depending upon the size and weight of the boat to lift the hull to the central planing surface to achieve the desired top speed. The hull for each step is described by its chine, hull bottom, deadrise angle, bow and stern dimensions optimized to the “ideal beam”(Ref.
