  • Publication number: 20050078332
Abstract: A job attribute analysis system and method are provided for controlling a printer. The method comprises: accepting a job request; analyzing attributes of the requested job; and, controlling the job output in response to the attribute analysis. Typically, a job is accepted with an associated user identification (ID). Then, the method establishes a list of permitted attributes cross-referenced to user ID. The attributes of the requested job are analyzed by comparing the analyzed attributes to permitted attributes. The list of permitted attributes may additionally be cross-referencing quotas. Analyzing job attributes involves the consideration of whether the job is to be printed is color or monochrome. Other attributes can be the paper size, tray to be used, document content, media type, simplex/duplex, stapling, and/or whether hole punching is requested. With respect to document content, the method may additionally concern itself with restricted text strings, watermarks, and/or color images.

  • Publication number: 20050059566
Abstract: A microemulsion composition having a solid source of peroxycarboxylic acid and germinant is used for chemical and biological warfare decontamination. A process for decontaminating uses the microemulsion composition.

  • Publication number: 20040231257
Abstract: A telescoping pier foundation system (100, 100a, 100b) comprises generally an outer shell preferably made of a tough material, such as, a suitable polymer or a metal alloy, having an internal cavity (12) for receiving cementitious mixture. The outer shell comprises a stationary portion (10) and at least one longitudinally telescoping member (30) in longitudinal alignment with one another and connected to one another to achieve a given height, length or depth for forming a pier foundation. After the at least one telescoping member (30) is raised to meet a structural member (80, 80a) of a building and secured to the structural member, the internal cavity (12) of the outer shell is filled with cementitious mixture and cured to form a composite pier foundation.

  • Patent number: 6338335
Abstract: A spacing block (12) having the grooved aperture(s) (10) that manipulate the incoming air charge of internal combustion engines for which it is retrofitted. The grooved aperture (10) consists of an opening of a minor diameter with a helical shape having a 45 degree slope and a flat bottom major diameter spaced at approximately 0.25″ itch diameter. This creates a 45 degree screw pitch through the thickness of spacing block (12). At the top and bottom of grooved aperture (10) consists of two chambers of 45 degrees starting at the major diameter and ending at the minor diameter of the helical shape.

  • Patent number: 6105223
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for making thick fibrous structures. More particularly, the invention relates to a simplified needle-felting process wherein loose fiber is accreted into a thick fibrous structure by repeatedly driving a multitude of felting needles into the loose fiber, the felting needles penetrating all the way through the fibrous material at the beginning of the process, and penetrating only part way through the fibrous material at the end of the process. The processes according to the invention eliminate one or more intermediate steps of forming coherent fibrous layers that were previously thought necessary in the prior art in order to form a thick fibrous structure.

  • Patent number: 4590475
Abstract: An aircraft stall avoidance system uses flight measurements such as accelerations, aircraft configuration, engine power, atmospheric conditions, and other related characteristics in computing the speed at which a specific aircraft is likely to stall in real time. The indicator provides continuous stall avoidance information to the pilot along with positive warning signals when critical safety margins are broached.

  • Patent number: 4199076
Abstract: A dispenser of cups. A main body includes a cup cavity having a slidable plate mounted therein for receiving a stack of cups. A helical spring urges the plate toward the cavity opening to allow for the removal of one cup at a time from the dispenser main body. The spring is yieldable to allow a new stack of cups to be inserted into the cup cavity. A plurality of ribs within the cavity provide guide means upon which the plate moves to and from the cavity opening. The ribs have enlarged ends which project into the cavity preventing the plate from moving through the opening and insuring that only a cup at a time is removed from the dispenser. A centering plateau on the plate locates the stack of cups.
