Abstract: An exhaust gas temperature indicator for a gas turbine engine is disclosed in which data representing discrete overtemperature events occurring at different times is stored in a nonvolatile memory for later retrieval and display on an event-by-event basis. A character display is used to provide detailed digital, alphanumeric or other character information relating to each overtemperature event, such as the number, temperature zone, peak temperature and duration of the event. An indicator is provided for indicating the presence of unacknowledged temperature data in the memory device, and a maximum exhaust gas temperature value for an aircraft flight is stored. An analog display for continuously displaying current exhaust gas temperature values is provided in conjunction with a character display for displaying either current or stored values.
