Abstract: A ratchet line wrench tool has generally C-shaped housing with a hollow portion for receiving a line fitting nut, said hollow portion defined by an inner ratchet gear within said housing, said catcher gear engageable by reciprocating teeth with teeth of a dog gear held in place by a biasing spring within the interior walls of said housing. The ratchet gear allows the wrench to click backward and to resume the tightening or loosening of a line fitting nut on the forward stroke of the wrench.
