  • Publication number: 20230050952
Abstract: A “perpetual” candle product includes a container for storing an oil, a wick for drawing the oil from inside the container to an exposed end of the wick outside of the container, such that the tip of the exposed end of the wick can be ignited with a flame and the flame can continually burn so long as the oil in the container is replaced, and where a design feature is positioned outside the container and unlike a traditional candle the design feature does not burn or melt due to the flame on the wick, allowing the design feature (such as a wax rose, mimicking a real flower, or a wax cylinder, mimicking a traditional candle) to remain substantially intact despite prolonged and continuous burning of the candle product.

  • Patent number: 11161660
Abstract: A cap useful for reviving the carbonation level of a carbonated beverage, the cap configured to be screwed on the opening of the beverage bottle, the cap having a pressurized gas compartment that is sealed until selectively pierced by the user by pressing on a piercing means, after such piercing of the seal, the gas inside the pressurized gas compartment is free to move into the beverage container and into the liquid, providing carbonation to the liquid.

  • Publication number: 20210130597
Abstract: A wood composite material made of a mixture of wood particles and polystyrene, where the composite is made of at least 50% polystyrene but no more than 75% polystyrene and at least 25% wood particles but no more than 50% wood particles, with some embodiments of the composite material having approximately 1% of carbon nanofibers by weight. The composite material is made by dissolving polystyrene in an organic solvent to create a slurry paste, adding wood particles to the slurry paste (and in some embodiments, adding the carbon nanofibers to the slurry paste) to create a solvent mixture, and as the solvent evaporates from the solvent mixture, the final mixture is created and hardens into the final composite.

  • Publication number: 20080017847
Abstract: A molecular structure. In one embodiment, the molecular structure includes a nanotube formed with a plurality of carbon atoms having a first end, an opposite, second end, and a body portion defined therebetween, wherein the body portion has an interior surface defining a cavity, an opposite, exterior surface and a longitudinal axis therethrough the cavity, and a porphyrin molecule having a plurality of carbon atoms and a first plurality of hydrogen atoms, wherein at its original state the porphyrin molecule has a plurality of pyrrole units and each pyrrole unit is coupled to another pyrrole unit through a methine bridge so as to form a ring structure with a second plurality of hydrogen atoms positioned peripherally along the ring structure. The porphyrin molecule is chemically coupled to the interior surface of the nanotube such that at least one of the second plurality of hydrogen atoms positioned peripherally along the ring structure is replaced by a carbon atom of the nanotube.

  • Publication number: 20070068933
Abstract: An apparatus for synthesizing nanostructures. In one embodiment, the apparatus includes a heating device that defines a reaction zone therein and a susceptor made of a ferromagnetic material with a Curie temperature and placed in the reaction zone, where the Curie temperature substantially corresponds to a temperature at which the growth of desired nanostructures occurs and the heating device is capable of heating the susceptor substantially at the Curie temperature.

  • Publication number: 20050287297
Abstract: An apparatus and methods for making nanostructures. In one embodiment, the apparatus has a process chamber having a reaction zone, a conductive susceptor with catalysts placed in the reaction zone, means for providing a time-dependent electromagnetic field in the reaction zone so as to induce a current in the conductive susceptor to generate a heat flow, and means for supplying a carbon-containing gas to the reaction zone under a set of conditions to interact with the catalysts to allow nanostructures to be formed.
