    Abstract: An inline tool tracking system for tracking an inline tool traveling along a pipe includes a detection and communication device operable to detect an inline tool as it passes generally near the device. The detection and communication device is operable to generate a detection output, which includes data indicative of the detection of the tool and a geographical location of the device. A control is operable to wirelessly receive the detection output and to process the detection output. The control generates a control output responsive to the processing, and the control output is indicative of the detection of the tool and the geographical location of the detection and communication device. A display device receives an input indicative of the control output and displays the information indicative of the detection of the tool and the geographical location of the detection and communication device to a user of the display device.

    Abstract: A rotary angle tool is provided for driving a fastener while controlling the rotational speed of the chuck by varying the pressure or force of the tool against the fastener. The tool includes an angled chuck assembly that is drivable by a motor, an output shaft of the chuck assembly having a rotational axis that is non-parallel to the rotational axis of the motor drive shaft. A sensor is responsive to the proximity of or movement of a detectable element at the chuck output shaft. The sensor generates a signal for controlling the output of the motor in response to detection of the proximity or movement of the detectable element. Moving the chuck output shaft by urging the rotary tool against a fastener varies the proximity of the detectable element relative to the sensor and the sensor output or control proportionally varies the power supplied to the motor.

    Abstract: A race tracking and monitoring system using satellite communications may support racing teams in remote areas, and may provide information to officials, media broadcasters, or other interested parties while minimizing the cost of communications. The system may include a race vehicle communication device, a satellite network, check point communication devices at check points along a race route, and a control. The race vehicle communication device generates outputs, including the geographical location of the race vehicle, to the satellite network, and receives inputs from the satellite network. The check point communication device generates an output to the satellite network, including data indicative of the race vehicle passing a given check point. The control receives the outputs of the race vehicle communication device and the check point communication device via the satellite and processes the outputs, and generates a control output responsive to the processing.

    Abstract: The casing cutter disclosed herein is useful for severing downhole tubulars and comprises a body, slips, a cutting head, cutting blades, and actuators for operating the cutting head and cutting blades. The casing cutter can be anchored within casing wellbore with the slips to provide anchoring support during the cutting operation. Cutting is accomplished by rotatingly actuating the cutting head with an associated motor, and then radially extending the cutting blades away from the cutting head. The cutting blades are actuated by a hydraulic motor operatively coupled to the cutting blades by a series of gears.
