Abstract: There is provided an immersion blender essentially having a housing or body portion for containing a drive motor, a shank or drive shaft operatively connected to the drive motor, and a processing tool operatively connected to the drive shaft. The immersion blender also has one or more handle portions, including, a first handle for pivotal control of the blender during operative use, a second handle for lateral control of the blender during operative use, and a third handle for stabilization of the blender during operative use. These handles effectuate a more effective and efficient operation of the immersion blender.

Abstract: A flexible line trimmer for shipping and storing in a knocked down version for reduced package sizes includes a single length of tube that is received within an extended neck portion of a motor housing. During final assembly, the tube is extended and locked into position without the need for tools.

Abstract: Apparatus for cutting vegetation with a rotatable head carrying a non-metallic cutting line extended into a cutting plane. As the line extension decreases from an established preset length an actuator in the head permits additional line to be extended automatically from a supply source within the head. The actuator imposes a back pressure against the line of magnitude correlated to the sensed pull tension wanting to extend the line outward of the head. After the cutting line length is extended to its restored original preset length, the actuator in response to the operational forces imposed thereon secures the cutting line against further extension until a subsequent decrease in line extension is incurred. In one embodiment an inertial drag brake is activated during the course of line feedout and is deactivated after the length of cutting line has been fully restored.

Abstract: This is a cable stripper or tool for removing insulation from cable. The tool has a pair of jaws which are adapted to close on a cable with a cutting blade or tool therein so that when the cable and tool are rotated relative to each other, a cut path will be defined or applied to the cable. The tool has the capability for either square cutting, i.e. a circular cut, or peeling, i.e. a helical cut or both and will automatically apply one cut or the other depending upon its direction of rotation.

Abstract: A combined massage and spot heating device including a cushion adapted to be placed next to the body of a person to be treated and having a vibrating mechanism contained therein, and a switchbox containing switching means for controlling the amplitude of vibration, said means including a resistor inside the switchbox which may be cut into the vibrator circuit at certain positions of the switching means, the resistor serving to heat a heat-conducting plate associated with the switchbox to provide a facility for spot heating selected areas on the body of the person being treated.
