  • Patent number: 6171713
Abstract: An impeller shoe (110) having a front side (112) with a series of half column members (114) and raised upper and lower rims (116, 118) that form the impact surface of the impeller shoe. Half columns (114) and raised rims (116, 118) are formed with carbide material (120) formed therein in order to improve wear resistance at these critical surfaces.

  • Patent number: 6033791
Abstract: A wear resistant, high-impact iron alloy member (20,22) suitable for use in an impact rock crusher and a method of making the same. The invention provides a white iron alloy member (20,22) having at least one wear surface (24) with carbide granules encapsulated in a matrix (28) of white iron and contained in a selected region adjacent the wear surface (24) of the member (20,22). The iron alloy member is made by a method of casting comprising the steps of: placing a molding insert (35,40) in a mold (60) at a selected location adjacent the wear surface (24); positioning a quantity of carbide granules (29), most preferably tungsten carbide granules 29, in the molding insert (35,40) before pouring; and pouring molten white iron alloy into the mold (60) to form the casting.

  • Patent number: 5921484
Abstract: A rock crusher (10) including a turntable (26) with a series of impellers (34) mounted thereon. Each impeller (34) includes a curved, C-shaped pocket (56) that includes a radially inwardly sloped wall (59) terminating in a transversely extending lip (111). The impeller (34) is oriented in a somewhat closed position or greater angle of attack (90) so that the front face (54) of the impeller is exposed to oncoming rocks. A method of retaining rock fines (116) in a pocketed impeller (34) of a rock crusher (10) which includes orienting a radially outermost pocket wall (59) in a radially inwardly sloped orientation is disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5071133
Abstract: A game is disclosed using random movement of playing pieces by players to teach biblical principles. The game includes a board having a playing path divided into several spaces. A playing piece, one for each player, is placed on the "Start" space and oriented to represent religiously "unconverted" players. The playing pieces move counterclockwise along the path in accordance to the roll of the dice. Counterclockwise movement continues until a playing piece lands on a "Sunday" space, at which point the corresponding player throws the dice again. If the number on the dice is even, the player remains "unconverted" and continues to move counterclockwise. If the number on the dice is odd, the playing piece is reversed to indicate that the player is religiously "converted", and moves the playing piece in a clockwise direction for the rest of the game. Property spaces, property deeds and play money provide players the opportunity to invest while moving along the path.
