Abstract: Information is shared among users in a system by the use of a service. The service receives information from at least two different game applications that each have a configuration file (defined with a common schema) that defines information from the game application to share with a service. An intermediary program executing on a computer that is also executing one of said game applications receives information from the application as defined by said configuration files and stores at least a portion of the information received from the application. At least a portion of the information is sent to the service when the intermediary is in communication with the service over a network wherein the service provides information about a user of said at least two game applications based on information received by said service.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing a digital identity or profile in a gaming console that communicates to a remote service. A “Gamer Profile” is created that serves as a building block for services and applications that aim to create a social community of gamers and grow relationships among players. In accordance with the present invention, the Gamer Profile is the entirety of information (e.g., metadata) related to a specific user. The Gamer Profile is developed from a set of services that collect and expose this information in a meaningful way to the community. Feedback information may be included that is provided by other users to further enhance the profile. The Gamer Profile also provides for personalization such that users can customize their gaming experience.

Abstract: A matchmaking service that selects matches based on personal/social characteristics as well as skill and experience. The service takes into account direct feedback from other players about positive and negative experiences with a particular player and expectations about appropriate conduct and type of game being played before a player joins the game session.

Abstract: Processes are disclosed for oxygen-tailoring polyethylene blow molding resin. Polyethylene resin is conveyed through a feed zone, a melt-mixing zone and a melt zone, wherein the temperature of the polyethylene resin is from about 216° C. to about 260° C. in the melt zone. The resin is contacted with oxygen in an amount of at least about 20 parts by weight oxygen per million parts by weight resin. The oxygen-treated resin can be used to make polyethylene blow molded articles having improved melt strength, processability, and die swell.

Abstract: Semiconductor device-based chemical sensors and methods associated with the same are provided. The sensors include regions that can interact with chemical species being detected. The chemical species may, for example, be a component of a fluid (e.g., gas or liquid). The interaction between the chemical species and a region of the sensor causes a change in a measurable property (e.g., an electrical property) of the device. These changes may be related to the concentration of the chemical species in the medium being characterized.

Abstract: The present invention provides nucleic acid and amino acid sequences of acetyl CoA synthetase (ACS), plastidic pyruvate dehydrogenase (pPDH), ATP citrate lyase (ACL), Arabidopsis pyruvate decarboxylase (PDC), and Arabidopsis aldehyde dehydrogenase (ALDH), specifically ALDH-2 and ALDH-4. The present invention also provides a recombinant vector comprising a nucleic acid sequence encoding one of the aforementioned enzymes, an antisense sequence thereto or a ribozyme therefor, a cell transformed with such a vector, antibodies to the enzymes, a plant cell, a plant tissue, a plant organ or a plant in which the level of an enzyme has been altered, and a method of producing such a plant cell, plant tissue, plant organ or plant. Desirably, alteration of the level of enzyme results in an alteration of the level of acetyl CoA in the plant cell, plant tissue, plant organ or plant.

Abstract: A Supplier Portal is provided to allow a Supplier to self-author the business process elements (BPEs) of a business process (BP) to create, manage and publish rich-content for use in eCatalogs, Data Pools, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and other knowledge management situations. The resulting business process (BP) for content management incorporates the Supplier's business process (BP) model. At the business process (BP) level, self-authoring allows users to adapt business process elements (BPEs) such as workflows, approval rules and approver roles and permissions, event notification and metrics. At the activity level, self-authoring allows users to adapt business process elements (BPEs) such as user interaction templates, business process (BP) rules and user roles and permissions that relate to the input, configuration, rationalization, classification, value extraction, quality control, publication, and ongoing management of rich-content.

Abstract: A slitter device is provided having at least two substantially parallel rotatable shafts extending through corresponding cutting blades for cutting sheet material into ribbons. The cutting blades on at least one of the rotatable shafts are axially adjustable along the shaft to allow a cutting relation to be maintained between those blades relative to complementary cutting blades on the other rotatable shaft. The slitter device thus facilitates axial adjustment of the cutting blades without slitter device disassembly and with minimum down time.

Abstract: A memory subsystem may be usable in an electronic system. The memory subsystem may comprise a memory controller and a plurality of memory modules coupled to the memory controller. The memory module may be isolated wherein transactions that target the isolated memory module can complete without loss of data and without accessing the isolated memory module, and while isolated, the memory module can be tested.

Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for creating, controlling and enhancing a life-cycle of at least one stage for a rich-content repository, such as a catalog of products and services. The item data is received from a source and is processed in accordance with a User-defined life-cycle, finally being published/syndicated as rich-content. At User direction, the rich-content life-cycle can include one or more stages such as item data receipt from a supplier, transformation under control of User-defined functions, and publication/syndication of the transformed, i.e., rich-content data. Maintenance of rich-content repositories is likewise provided using a User-defined life-cycle having User-defined functions.

Abstract: Gallium nitride material transistors and methods associated with the same are provided. The transistors may be used in power applications by amplifying an input signal to produce an output signal having increased power. The transistors may be designed to transmit the majority of the output signal within a specific transmission channel (defined in terms of frequency), while minimizing transmission in adjacent channels. This ability gives the transistors excellent linearity which results in high signal quality and limits errors in transmitted data. The transistors may be designed to achieve low ACPR values (a measure of excellent linearity), while still operating at high drain efficiencies and/or high output powers. Such properties enable the transistors to be used in RF power applications including third generation (3G) power applications based on W-CDMA modulation.

Abstract: Gallium nitride material structures, including devices, and methods associated with the same are provided. In some embodiments, the structures include one or more isolation regions which electrically isolate adjacent devices. One aspect of the invention is the discovery that the isolation regions also can significantly reduce the leakage current of devices (e.g., transistors) made from the structures, particularly devices that also include a passivating layer formed on a surface of the gallium nitride material. Lower leakage currents can result in increased power densities and operating voltages, amongst other advantages.

Abstract: Gallium nitride material devices and methods of forming the same are provided. The devices include an electrode-defining layer. The electrode-defining layer typically has a via formed therein in which an electrode is formed (at least in part). Thus, the via defines (at least in part) dimensions of the electrode. In some cases, the electrode-defining layer is a passivating layer that is formed on a gallium nitride material region.

Abstract: A vehicle is equipped with an automated device for covering the windows of the vehicle. The device comprises a collection container, a plurality of the extensions attached to the collection container, a motor attached to the collection container to rotate the collection container, and a covering attached to the plurality of extensions and sized to cover the windows of the vehicle. The rotation of the collection container extends and retracts the plurality of extensions which results in the deployment of the covering over the windows of the vehicle and the collection of the covering from the windows of the vehicle. In a preferred embodiment, the plurality of extensions comprises malleable metal strips with eyelets at the end of the metal strips. The eyelets and the metal strips are positioned within sleeves or channels which are made integral to the covering. The covering includes a reflective fabric that is substantially opaque to sunlight.

Abstract: A frac head comprising a main body with plural side entries oriented around the main body such that flow from each of the side entries meets flow from an opposing side entry in the internal bore. A replaceable abrasion resistant wear sleeve is secured in the internal bore of the main body downstream of the side entries and positioned to intercept flow from the side entries and prevent the flow from impacting directly on material of the main body. The side entries terminate at the internal bore equidistantly from the lower end of the main body, and are symmetrically arranged around the main body. The side entries are oriented at about 45° to the downstream direction. The replaceable abrasion resistant wear sleeve is held against movement downstream by abutment of a shoulder on the replaceable abrasion resistant wear sleeve against a shoulder on the frac body, and has a tapered internal bore.

Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for transforming catalog data from multiple supplier sources to a standardized rich content catalog either by the suppliers themselves or by a third party using the system and method of the present invention. Incoming raw catalog data content is cleansed and normalized using an extensive knowledge base of patterns and incoming schemas are appended to the cleansed and normalized data. The resulting rich content catalogs are published for user browsing and data syndication. Users are administered to form groups for purposes of shopping, product pricing, and access authorization.

Abstract: A frac head comprising a main body with plural side entries oriented around the main body such that flow from each of the side entries meets flow from an opposing side entry in the internal bore. Abstract: A microwavable heat retaining dish is provided. This heat retaining dish includes a dish shaped member and heat retaining component cooperating with the dish shaped member. The heat retaining component is capable of being heated by microwave radiation in order to maintain any food placed on the dish at an elevated temperature. The heat retaining component includes a heat retaining medium therein. The heat retaining component is capable of accommodating for expansion of this heat retaining medium during heating of the dish. The heat retaining component further includes a reclosable filling spout which allows for replacement of the heat retaining medium.

Abstract: A hydraulic hitch mounted on the back of a tractor has a pair of first upright tubular members that slide into second upright tubular members fixed to the tractor frame. A pair of piston and cylinder assemblies are used to raise and lower a draw bar attached to the first tubular members. The draw bar movably supports a tongue having a connector used to connect the hitch to an implement.

Abstract: A bale transporter and feeder is used for loading, transporting and feeding large bales of hay. This transporter and feeder includes a frame which is adapted to be connected to a prime mover and which forms a horizontal support bed, which will at least partially support a hay bale on end during transport and feeding. A lift is pivotally supported on the frame and rotatable substantially 90.degree. about a horizontal axis at approximately the same height as the horizontal support bed. This lift is adapted to engage a hay bale on the ground in a lowered position and is rotatable to a raised position. In the raised position the bale is supported on end of the support bed and the lift, and can be left in place for feeding cattle after the frame has been moved to a feeding area. An actuator is supported on the frame to move the lift between the lowered and raised positions.
