    Abstract: A method of controlling a valve and a control system in a machine having an internal combustion engine, the system including the valve and an associated motor, and a temperature sensor that supplies a temperature signal to a controller in electrical communication with the motor. The controller supplies a closing current to the motor at a temperature signal corresponding to a temperature no greater than a preset temperature parameter, the closing current being at or above a nominal operating current of the motor and being furnished for a preset period of time.
