  • Patent number: 5058805
Abstract: A paint spray system includes a source of pressurized paint. At least a first and second spray gun are provided. Each spray gun has a gun inlet for receiving paint, a gun spray outlet for spraying paint on an article to be painted, and a gun bypass passage for passing through the gun an unused portion of paint. A feed conduit feeds paint from the source to the spray guns. A paint recycle conduit recycles unused paint from the paint spray guns. Each of the spray guns is separately adjustable for adjusting a rate at which paint is sprayed on an article independent of any adjustment of the other guns. The system is particularly adapted to spraying fast drying mixtures of a base paint and a catalyst.

  • Patent number: 5040732
Abstract: An electrostatic spray gun particularly adapted to the spraying of fast-drying paint mixtures while preventing the polymerization or setting up of the paint mixtures includes a gun body having defined therein a gun inlet for receiving paint, a gun spray orifice, an annular seat surrounding the orifice, and a supply passage communicating the gun inlet and the orifice. The gun also includes a valve assembly including a reciprocable valve member engageable with the valve seat to close the orifice and define a closed position of the valve member. The valve assembly further includes an electrode extending from the valve member through the orifice.

  • Patent number: 4844290
Abstract: Apparatus for dispensing fluids from a bottle comprising a housing having a bore extending through the housing and means for releasably securing the housing to the mouth of a bottle containing a fluid therein. A spool slidably received within the bore is selectively positionable in a first, closed position and second, open position. The spool is provided with an air passageway therethrough and an opening in the side wall, and the housing is provided with an air inlet port for passage of air. The housing is also provided with a fluid inlet port and spout for the passage of fluids therethrough. In the second, open position fluid flows through the inlet port into the bore and out of the spout, and air flows through the air inlet port, opening in the side wall of the spool, and air passageway into the bottle. A support stand having a vertical support member for supporting the bottle at an angle with respect to the horizontal is also provided.

  • Patent number: 4722463
Abstract: An apparatus for dispensing fluids from a bottle comprising a housing having a bore extending through the housing and a connector for releasably securing the housing to the mouth of a bottle containing fluid. A spool received within the bore of the housing is selectively positionable in a first, closed position and in a second, open position. The spool is provided with passageways therethrough for passage of air and the housing is provided with an inlet port, spout, and an annular groove for passage of fluids therethrough. In the second, open position fluid flows through the passageways and the annular groove of the spool out of bottle, and air flows through the passageways and the annular recess of the bore into the bottle.

  • Patent number: 4331042
Abstract: A solar generator includes a chamber in the form of a half tee-pee having a chimney-like outlet at an upper end thereof. An air turbine is mounted within the outlet and is coupled to an electric generator. Air inlet tubes are provided at the base of the structure. As air within the chamber is heated by the sun, it rises and passes, at an increased velocity due to the Venturi effect, through the turbine causing the blades thereof to turn.
