  • Publication number: 20080063507
Abstract: The present invention provides techniques for accumulation of bales of hay. The disclosed accumulation system allows for the accumulation of at least eight or ten bales of hay into stabled compacted bale pads. The accumulation system employs at least one diverted to direct a bale of hay into at least one shoot. The bale of hay then is pivoted into a biased positioned relative to any additional accumulated bales of hay. The biased position creates a secure abutment for the additional accumulated bales of hay and allows for stabled compacted bale pads. Upon entry into the accumulator of a final hay bale, a release mechanism is triggered thereby opening a rear release gate and depositing a compacted bale bad onto a field ready for moving and pick up by a grapple system.

  • Publication number: 20070131410
Abstract: The casing cutter disclosed herein is useful for severing downhole tubulars and comprises a body, slips, a cutting head, cutting blades, and actuators for operating the cutting head and cutting blades. The casing cutter can be anchored within casing wellbore with the slips to provide anchoring support during the cutting operation. Cutting is accomplished by rotatingly actuating the cutting head with an associated motor, and then radially extending the cutting blades away from the cutting head. The cutting blades are actuated by a hydraulic motor operatively coupled to the cutting blades by a series of gears.

  • Publication number: 20060053912
Abstract: Provided is a gimbal mechanism comprising a support stand, an outer frame and an inner frame. The support stand includes a spaced pair of L-shaped legs comprising a first member having at least one first slot formed therethrough. The outer frame is nested within the support stand and comprises outer frame sides joined to outer frame ends. Each one of the outer frame sides is pivotally engagable to the first slot of an adjacent one of the first members such that the outer frame is selectively angularly and laterally positionable relative to the support stand. The inner frame is nested within the outer frame and comprises inner frame ends joined to inner frame sides. Each one of the inner frame ends is pivotally engagable to an adjacent one of the outer frame ends such that the inner frame is selectively angularly adjusted relative to the outer frame about an inner frame axis.

  • Publication number: 20060037184
Abstract: A socket driver for installation and removal of bearings, bushings, and damaged nuts and bolts. The socket driver has a driving end, a body, a flange and a square bit. The body joins the driving end and the flange. The square bit is at the end of the socket driver opposite the driving end and adjacent the flange. In use, the driving end of the socket driver receives a driving force, usually in the form of hammer blows. The flange operates to distribute the driving force evenly to the surface of a socket, from a socket or ratchet set, thereby preventing damage thereto.

  • Publication number: 20050288533
Abstract: Continuous single-step processes for producing higher molecular weight ketones are disclosed that involve a liquid-phase crossed condensation of an aldehyde with a ketone in the presence of a hydrogenation catalyst and a small amount of a catalyst comprising a concentrated hydroxide or alkoxide of an alkali-metal (from Group 1 or Group IA of the Periodic Table of the Elements) or alkali-earth metal (from Group 2, or Group IIA of the Periodic Table of the Elements), wherein the amount of water provided to the reaction mixture, or reaction zone, is relatively low, with respect to the total initial weight of the reaction mixture. The reaction may be carried out in the absence of solubilizing agents or phase transfer agents. The product mixture is largely free of by-products resulting from further condensation reactions of the desired ketone product or intermediates, and free of the self-condensation products of the reactant aldehyde, that are afterward difficult to remove from the reaction mixture.

  • Publication number: 20050252160
Abstract: Structures built from metal tubing and a method for their construction wherein cast curved sections of tubing are welded to substantially straight sections of metal tubing according to the design requirements of the structures. The cast curved components are stronger and lighter than equivalent components made by bending. In addition, the cast components can be manufactured in a much wider range of configurations, sizes and dimensions (e.g. cast curves can have a greater degree of curve and a much smaller radius of curve than bent components).

  • Patent number: 5619568
Abstract: A cordless telephone system comprises a base unit and a portable handset having a rechargeable battery. To conserve battery power in the handset, the ringer is normally in an inactive state but may be switched active for a predetermined period of time. Thus, if the handset is within the range of other telephones within a household, the ringer on the handset will normally not be activate and the ringer on the handset will not indicate the receipt of an incoming call. To activate the ringer for the predetermined period of time, which would be desired when the handset is out of range of the other telephones, the user presses a timer switch for activating a timer. A CPU in the handset then enables the ringer while the timer is counting down the predetermined period of time. In another embodiment, the user can enter a desired period of time during which the ringer is active.
