  • Publication number: 20050242110
Abstract: A centralized fuel or fuel monitoring, control and dispensing system operating under the control of a modern solid state programmable logic controller (PLC) that provides control options with capabilities far exceeding those available from relay logic systems. The system also incorporates compliance with the latest EPA mandates by accepting inputs from water and gasoline sensors that monitor the condition of the required “tank within a tank” dual storage tanks. If a fault condition is detected, the system will force a safety shutdown in the affected part of the installation. The PLC provides centralized monitoring, controlling and reporting functions to the operators of fuel dispensing operations such as self-service gas station complexes and fuel depots. Remote monitoring and programming of the PLC is provided by an internal modem through any available communications link.

  • Publication number: 20050175498
Abstract: A method and apparatus for producing purified or ozone enriched air to remove contaminants from fluids is accomplished by exposing an air stream from a surrounding area to ozone generating ultra-violet (UV) radiation to generate ozone in a system ozone chamber. The ozone chamber is configured to reduce through-flow velocity and provide time for the ozone to mix with the air and oxidize contaminants. The air stream subsequently enters a germicidal chamber and is exposed to germicidal UV radiation to destroy bacteria and ozone in the air stream resulting in sterilized air. The radiation source may include an end-cap that interfaces guiding mechanisms to align the end-cap for power connections, and/or controls emission of ozone generating radiation to control production of ozone. Further, the system may include an additional germicidal chamber that exposes an air stream to germicidal radiation prior to treatment within the ozone chamber.

  • Publication number: 20050103783
Abstract: A jobsite storage chest with a removable tray for housing tools and equipment. The tray may be provided with holes in its bottom wall for accommodating tools such as pliers, screw dividers, and hammers as well as dividers for compartmentalizing the tray. When the need arises, the tray with all of its contents may be removed from the storage chest and taken to a desired location. In addition, the tray is capable of sliding movement along the side walls so that it can be easily moved out of the way when necessary. The storage chest further includes an access for electrical cord passthrough. Specifically, the storage chest is provided with an access in the back wall of the storage chest through which an electrical cord can be fed. As a result, power can be safely and easily provided to equipment positioned on the tray.

  • Publication number: 20030039577
Abstract: A method and apparatus for removing contaminants from contaminated air is accomplished by exposing an incoming air stream from a surrounding area to ultra-violet (UV) radiation to generate ozone in an ozone chamber of the system. The ozone chamber is configured to reduce air through-flow velocity and to provide time for the ozone to mix with the air and oxidize the contaminants. The air stream subsequently enters a germicidal chamber and is again exposed to UV radiation at a different wavelength to destroy bacteria and any ozone in the air stream thus resulting in sterilized air. The system may include various ozone and germicidal chamber configurations to increase residence time within these chambers. Further, the system may be configured for installation within a wall or ceiling, or for mounting on a ceiling fan motor for use with ceiling fans.
