    Abstract: A system for producing a thermoformed contour trim component having enhanced finish and density characteristics in which a face good is laminated to an adhesive coated substrate in a molding process using cooperative shells A and B in which a positive gas pressure is applied to a mold shell such that the adhesive surface of the substrate and a face good and/or laminate layers in an assembly are directed into contact with a bonding force sufficient to bond the layers.
