  • Patent number: 6999877
Abstract: A method and system for evaluating crop performance obtains weather data for defined geographic locations within a geographic area. Historic soil data is obtained for the defined geographic locations within a geographic area. Historic yield data is obtained for the defined geographic area for a representative crop. Predictive data nodes are determined based on at least one of the obtained weather data, the historic soil data, and the historic yield data. Each node is associated with a certain range of average yields for a particular crop.

  • Patent number: 6946590
Abstract: An inbred corn line, designated MV5125, is disclosed. The invention relates to the seeds of inbred corn line MV5125, to the plants of inbred corn line MV5125 and to methods for producing a corn plant, either inbred or hybrid, by crossing the inbred line MV5125 with itself or another corn line. The invention further relates to methods for producing a corn plant containing in its genetic material one or more transgenes and to the transgenic plants produced by that method and to methods for producing other inbred corn lines derived from the inbred MV5125.

  • Patent number: 6829249
Abstract: A system and method is designed for upgrading a digital PBX used with a pulse code modulation (PCM) telephone system by providing an interface card connected to the back plane of the PBX. The interface card acts as a replacement for the digital key set cards normally used with the back plane of such a PBX. The interface card is designed with circuitry to process voice-encoded packet data directly from a LAN to the PCM data used within the PBX network, and to process PCM data from the telephone network to voice coded packet data on the LAN to provide a voice-over Internet protocol and interface with the telephone system connected with and controlled by the PBX.

  • Patent number: 5924758
Abstract: A mechanism for assisting the rolling or unrolling of a tarp on a roll bar over the top opening of a trailer, container or similar structure. The mechanism includes an elongated, C-shaped housing, pulleys mounted at opposite ends of the housing, an elastic cord that is secured to the housing and passes about the pulleys, and a strap attached to the opposite, free end of the elastic cord for engaging an end of the roll bar. The housing, pulleys and cord are arranged so that the cord is extended when the tarp is in the open position, urging the active end of the crank to the closed position during the rolling step. The elastic cord pulls against movement at the active end of the roll bar when the bar is unrolled from the closed position to the open position.

  • Patent number: 5701355
Abstract: A microphone (10) for a two-way radio has front (12) and rear (14) housing assemblies, a PTT button (48) and a detachable power cable (18). The front housing (20) has a microphone opening (22) and an integrally formed hoop (36) on the lower part of the housing. A waterproof membrane (32) covers the opening and protects a microphone cartridge (24). A grill (34) snaps to the front housing, securing the membrane in place. The PTT button actuates a PTT switch through an elastomeric boot (50) which seals the microphone and also acts as a return spring for the PTT button. The rear housing (40) has a hoop receiver (38) on the lower part of the housing to receive the hoop on the front housing, and the PTT button fits into the side of the housing. The detachable power cable snaps into the microphone, and is held in place with a locking collar (58) which engages the hoop.
