  • Publication number: 20180060867
Abstract: During the performance of an electronic payment transaction over a networked (web-based) e-commerce website an interface implementation that inserts into one or more web pages of the site providing an override within a payment process that allows a user to securely enter sensitive or confidential data necessary for the performance of the transaction and from which a transaction specific, single-use payment token is generated and then used in completing the payment transaction. The interface providing protection to the sensitive data and generated token from unwanted and unnecessary network access by a communicatively linked device and promoting a consumer experience that seamlessly integrates the date entry, protection and tokenization of sensitive data with the hosted webpages of the e-commerce website.

  • Patent number: 9014577
Abstract: A printing device (and associated method) comprises a carrier supply, one or more tubes operatively connected to the carrier supply, one or more developer stations operatively connected to the tubes, and at least two sensors connected to each of the tubes. The tubes supply a pulse of the carrier material (“slug”) from the carrier supply to the developer stations. The sensors are positioned a known distance apart along a length of the tubes. The sensors detect the slug of the carrier material passing in the tubes. The processor determines the slug speed based on the timing difference of when the different sensors detect the slug. The processor determines the size of the slug based on the slug speed and determines the dispense rate of the carrier supply based on the size of the slug.

  • Publication number: 20070052690
Abstract: A method and system are provided to correct inaccuracies in touch location determination associated with mechanical distortion of the touch screen. Calibration parameters are provided for a touch screen characterizing an error in an expected touch signal associated with mechanical distortion of the touch screen. A force responsive touch signal having the error is detected and the touch location determined using the calibration parameters to correct the error in the touch signal. The calibration parameters are determined by applying mechanical distortion to the touch screen and characterizing the touch signal error associated with the mechanical distortion. The calibration parameters are produced using the characterization of the touch signal error.

  • Publication number: 20060152499
Abstract: A touch sensitive device uses an iterative method for determining the location of a touch on a touch sensitive surface. The touch sensitive device includes a touch plate and a plurality of sensors configured to sense vibrations propagating in the touch plate. Signals responsive to the vibrations caused by the touch are generated. The touch location is approximated and the signals are adjusted using the approximate touch location. The touch location is determined using the adjusted signals.

  • Publication number: 20060139339
Abstract: Methods and devices provide for determination of the location of a touch on a touch plate by sensing dispersive vibrations at each of a number of vibration sensors coupled to a touch plate, the vibrations caused by the touch on the touch plate. An amount of dispersion in the dispersive vibrations sensed at each of the vibration sensors is determined. A distance between the touch and each of the vibration sensors corresponding to the amount of dispersion in the dispersive vibrations sensed at each of the vibration sensors is calculated. The touch location is determined using some or all of the calculated distances.

  • Publication number: 20050197628
Abstract: A patient medical tubing and catheter anchor and support for permanently, securely anchoring and supporting medical tubing to a patient's body including a longitudinally extending conformable base having a non-adhesive upper surface and a lower surface including a medical grade adhesive thereon. An attachment member is connected to the upper surface of the base to provide a supporting surface for receiving and supporting the tubing. The attachment member includes a center portion and at least one longitudinally extending locking strip extending from one end of the center portion and at least one other longitudinally extending locking strip extending from the other end of the center portion. The locking strips are foldable over the center portion to encapsulate a portion of the tubing between the upper surface of the locking strips and the upper surface of the center portion.
