  • Publication number: 20240296369
Abstract: A method for managing multi-vendor fifth generation/sixth generation and next-generation hybrid quantum-classical networks includes determining a proposed network compute cloud configuration for a hybrid quantum-classical telecommunications network supported by a plurality of cloud environments, determining a protocol that is required to implement the proposed network compute cloud configuration, based on a topology of the hybrid quantum-classical telecommunications network, and delegating a quantum function of the proposed network compute cloud configuration among the plurality of cloud environments, using the protocol.

  • Publication number: 20240078457
Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, providing, by a global node, a model to a group of nodes of a network, the model being associated with determining a configuration of the network for qubits; receiving, by the global node from one or more nodes of the group of nodes, updated model parameters, wherein the updated model parameters are generated by each of the one or more nodes via training of a local model utilizing the model and local data accessible to the particular node of the one or more nodes resulting in local nodes; generating, by the global node, an updated model based on the updated model parameters, the updated model being associated with determining the configuration of the network for the qubits; and providing, by the global node, the updated model to the group of nodes of the network, wherein the updated model facilitates managing distribution and usage of entangled qubit storage in devices of the network as reserve hybrid quantum-classical network capacity for bandwidth

  • Publication number: 20230166565
Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel tire safety monitoring line device which allows for automatic and continuous tire tread monitoring. The device comprises a plurality of dye-filled or paint-filled capsules embedded within the tire tread at differing tread levels. As the tire tread gets low, the capsules are exposed, breaking open and releasing the dye/paint. Thus, the colors of dye/paint released indicate differing tread levels, which alerts a user as to the tire tread level of their vehicle tire.

  • Patent number: 11154021
Abstract: A floating pond fertilizer device is provided. The device includes a tray for holding fertilizer at the surface of a body of water to be fertilized. The tray has small holes in the bottom of the tray through which fertilizer is released and is secured to a float to support the tray on the surface of the water. The device has opposing mixing arms positioned inside the tray for mixing the fertilizer. The mixing arms are attached to a support arm that can freely rotate within an opening in the center of the bottom of the tray. Rotation of the support arm is facilitated by natural wind and wave action, and thus the device does not require the use of motorized or automated components for mixing or dispensing the fertilizer. The device has a lid that can be retained in an open position during use to facilitate wind-assisted mixing.

  • Publication number: 20090092125
Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing customer controlled traffic redistribution are disclosed. For example, the method determines one or more states of one or more Customer Premise Equipments (CPEs) at one or more customer sites periodically, wherein the one or more states are configured by a customer. The method then determines a network action for each of the one or more CPEs in accordance with the one or more states of the one or more CPEs, and routes traffic for the customer in accordance with the network action for each of the one or more CPEs.

  • Publication number: 20080031229
Abstract: A method for reducing latency of VoIP communications while efficiently using network resources and maintaining voice quality. This is achieved by managing packet size on a per-call basis, using factors such as distance between gateways, current backbone network status, service requested or access mechanism for a given call is disclosed. Packet size is selected on a per-call basis based on the distance between endpoints in the call. If the endpoints are far apart, the selected packet size is small. If the endpoints are close together, the selected packet size is large.

  • Patent number: 7228909
Abstract: Embodiments include providing a gas lift system comprising production tubing disposed within a wellbore, the production tubing capable of allowing fluid flow in a first direction from outside the production tubing through a wall of the production tubing to inside the production tubing to introduce a gas into the bore of the production tubing, while preventing fluid flow in a second direction from inside the production tubing through the wall of the production tubing to outside the production tubing. In one aspect, fluid flow in the second direction is prevented by operation of at least two valve members disposed within a side pocket of a side pocket mandrel in the production tubing. At least one of the valve members is capable of preventing fluid flow in the second direction even when the other valve member is removed from the wellbore or is at least partially inoperative.
