  • Patent number: 9275415
Abstract: A system includes an optical splitter that may receive an optical signal containing trading information from over an exchange network. The optical splitter may split the optical signal at a physical layer into a plurality of signals and transmit the plurality of signals toward a plurality of hosts at a customer end, which may execute transactions using the trading information.

  • Patent number: 8891513
Abstract: An example method is provided and includes generating a packet at a switch; and sending the packet from a designated source port to a plurality of egress ports over an overlay network that is to provide an alternate routing path having a lower latency characteristic compared to a standard routing path provided by a forwarding engine of the switch. In more particular embodiments, the overlay network includes one or more dedicated paths from the designated source port to the plurality of egress ports, and the one or more dedicated paths is determined from a mapping between the designated source port and the plurality of egress ports. In other instances, the mapping is provided in a routing table.

  • Patent number: 6168825
Abstract: A process for forming a thin blue colored gold deposit, which transmits substantially more visible light than infrared energy. A suitable substrate, usually transparent, is selected and aggressively cleaned to such an extent that water will sheet rather than bead on the surface. The surface is sensitized with a solid phase sensitizing agent such as tin chloride. The surface is either rubbed with a slurry of the solid phase sensitizing agent or it is or it is dipped into an agitated slurry of the agent. Two very dilute reagent solutions are prepared; a reducing solution, and a gold ion containing solution. The reagent solutions are co-mingled and simultaneously projected onto the cleaned surface. The reagent solutions react to form a blue colored gold deposit on the surface. This blue colored deposit passes more visible than infrared energy by a factor of approximately two.
