  • Patent number: 4352039
Abstract: A sonic transducer device for vibrating windows and glass partitions in the uman ear sensitivity range to prevent the capture of conversation by placing an interfering vibration on the windows or glass partitions.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 25, 1980
Date of Patent: September 28, 1982
Assignee: The United States of America as represented by the Secretary of the Army
Inventors: Jerry W. Hagood, Ralph L. Norman
  • Patent number: 4156827
Abstract: This device uses an oxide-metal matrix material to enable the integration either constant or pulsed image readout without the use of electron scanning. It takes advantage of a new materials's ability to serve as both a field effect emitter and a matrix channel for the emitted electrons to enable improved resolution.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 19, 1978
Date of Patent: May 29, 1979
Assignee: The United States of America as represented by the Secretary of the Army
Inventors: Joe Shelton, Jerry W. Hagood, Ralph L. Norman
  • Patent number: 4012656
Abstract: An improved x-ray tube uses the principle that sharp points emit electrons when subjected to sufficient electric fields enabling precision x-ray emission. A new oxide-metal composite material allows a uniform array of millions of electron emitting fibers to direct electrons toward a target anode. This emitting array allows intense bombardment of the tube target without the use of a thermal emitter.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 9, 1974
Date of Patent: March 15, 1977
Inventors: Ralph L. Norman, Jerry W. Hagood, Joe Shelton
