  • Patent number: 12283103
Abstract: A video camera includes a camera for capturing a video stream and a controller that is operably coupled to the camera. The controller, which includes processing resources, is configured to determine a current utilization of one or more of the processing resources and to determine which of a plurality of video analytics algorithms should be executed based at least in part on the determined current utilization of the one or more processing resources. The controller is configured to execute two or more of the plurality of video analytics algorithms on the video stream to identify one or more events in the video stream, wherein the controller executes the two or more of the plurality of video analytics algorithms, and sends an alert in response to identifying one or more events in the video stream.

  • Publication number: 20250126346
Abstract: Activities in a monitored space are monitored using a plurality of Pan/Tilt/Zoom (PTZ) video cameras each having a Field Of View (FOV). The method includes receiving a video stream from a first PTZ video camera, identifying one or more objects in the FOV of the first PTZ video camera, and classifying each of the identified objects into one or more of a plurality of object classes. The method includes determining when one or more objects, classified in a first object class of the plurality of object classes, obstructs a designated region of the monitored space in the FOV of the first PTZ video camera for at least a threshold period of time, and when so, causing a second PTZ video camera to adjust its pan, tilt and/or zoom settings to capture the designated region of the monitored space.

  • Publication number: 20250036093
Abstract: The health status of each of a plurality of services running on a building control device of a building control system may be monitored. The health status of each of the plurality of services may be selected from two or more predetermined health status conditions including a normal health status and a hung health status, wherein the hung health status indicates that the corresponding service is currently down and/or otherwise non-responsive. The building control device determines the health status of each of the plurality of services running on the building control device. The building control device wirelessly transmits the health status of at least those services running on the building control device that are determined to have the hung health status, if any.

  • Publication number: 20240291958
Abstract: A security camera includes an image capture sensor and one or more motors for achieving a pan and/or tilt operation of the image capture sensor. A gyroscope sensor senses angular speed of the image capture sensor. A memory stores calibration data that includes an indication of the angular speed of the image capture sensor sensed by the gyroscope sensor while performing a pan and/or tilt operation of the image capture sensor. A controller is configured to subsequently compare the angular speed of the image capture sensor while performing a pan and/or tilt operation of the image capture sensor with the calibration data to identify a drift in the angular speed of the image capture sensor while performing a pan and/or tilt operation of the image capture sensor over time. The controller is configured to compensate for the drift during subsequent pan and/or tilt operations.

  • Patent number: 11836982
Abstract: A monitored area including a plurality of video cameras is monitored for possible events. A video camera captures a video stream showing a portion of the monitored area and performs video analysis on the captured video stream. When the video camera identifies an event of interest within the captured video stream, the video camera generates event information associated with the identified event of interest. The video camera uses the relative location information to determine which video camera of the plurality of video cameras is positioned to capture the event of interest now and/or in the future and instructs that video camera to track the event.
