  • Publication number: 20230380676
Abstract: A main tube (2) has a first lumen (3) with a proximal end (5) and a distal end (6) to be placed inside a body cavity. An outer wall (7) encloses the first lumen and a dedicated camera lumen (4). A camera module is arranged at the distal end of the first lumen. An image transmission cable attached to the camera module extends through the camera lumen to connect to an image display device. A separately manufactured tip housing (20) is mounted on the main tube at the distal end of the first lumen. The tip housing forms a tip extension (23) of the first lumen and a tip extension (24) of the camera lumen. The tip extension of the first lumen has an open end (25), and the camera module is arranged at least partly in the tip extension of the camera lumen.

  • Publication number: 20230355085
Abstract: The tube has a first lumen with a proximal end and an open distal end to be placed inside a body cavity. An outer wall encloses the first lumen and a camera lumen. A camera module (10) is arranged in the camera lumen at a distal end thereof so that the camera module is positioned adjacent the distal end of the first lumen. An image transmission cable (13) attached to the camera module extends through the camera lumen to connect to an image display device. The camera module is fixed in the camera lumen by means of a camera housing (14) including a tubular housing part (17) surrounding the camera module and a distal end wall (18). The tubular housing part and the distal end wall are integrally moulded and form one single housing element (19). The tubular housing part fits tightly into the camera lumen of the tube.

  • Publication number: 20230233064
Abstract: A medical device including a main tube having an outer wall, a first lumen, and a camera lumen; a tip housing separately manufactured from the main tube and including a tubular housing part extending from a proximal end to a distal end, a first lumen extension, a camera lumen extension, the tubular housing part enclosing the first lumen extension and the camera lumen extension, and the proximal end of the tip housing mounted at the distal end of the main tube; a camera module; a camera housing positioned in the camera lumen extension and affixing the camera module to the tip housing, the camera housing having a tubular housing part having an inner face; and a support structure including a tubular end part having an outer face adhesively bonded to the inner face of the tubular housing part to secure the camera module to the camera housing.

  • Patent number: 11324394
Abstract: An endoscope including a handle including a fulcrum with a fulcrum axis, and a control lever including a lever body attached to the fulcrum and rotatable about the fulcrum axis, a lever grip, and a lever arm attaching the lever grip to the lever body, the control lever being adjustable between a first and a second configuration, in which the gripping surface of the lever grip is distanced from the fulcrum axis at a first radial distance via the lever body and lever arm, and a second configuration, in which the gripping surface of the lever grip is distanced from the fulcrum axis at a second radial distance via the lever body and lever arm, wherein the second radial distance is different from the first radial distance.

  • Publication number: 20220079421
Abstract: An endoscope capable of performing a retroflexion manoeuvre, including a handle having a control mechanism, a distal tip part having a vision device with a field of view, a bending section having a first state, a retroflexion state, an insertion tube including an exterior surface facing the surroundings of the endoscope, and at least one steering wire connecting the control mechanism with the bending section so that manipulation of the control mechanism causes the endoscope to perform a retroflexion manoeuvre by bending the bending section from the first state to the retroflexion state, wherein the exterior surface of the insertion tube includes a coloured area of a colour configured to reduce over- or underexposure of the vision device in the retroflexion state.
