  • Publication number: 20240420351
Abstract: Viewer systems and related methods with user interactive user interfaces that provide a viewport with first and second digital images that allow a user to navigate an active one of the digital images which drives a viewing window over the other digital image to provide a view that moves in response to navigation of the active slide to allow a user to compare and select one of several candidate registrations to register the first and second slides for pathology or other medical review. The user can interact with the user interface to switch which image is the active images (e.g., a WSI or slide image), select an object in the digital image and direct the system to provide other digital images.

  • Patent number: 10489633
Abstract: Methods, systems, workstations, and computer programs with user interactive patch gallery user interfaces that allow a user to alter at least one feature dimension of the patches and/or WSI image using the patch gallery. The patches are different small regions of interest of excerpts of the WSI and are not required to be neighboring excerpts but can be random samples spanning an extent of the feature dimension.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 21, 2017
Date of Patent: November 26, 2019
    Assignee: Sectra AB
    Inventors: Jesper Molin, Claes Lundström
  • Patent number: 9984457
Abstract: Methods, systems, workstations, viewers, grossing stations and computer include a display and a viewer circuit configured to cause the display to concurrently display: (i) a macroscopic view of a grossing specimen with virtual cut location marks associated with orientation and location of actual physical cut locations used to obtain tissue samples from the grossing specimen and (ii) at least one digital microscopic whole-slide image (WSI) of a tissue section from the specimen. The display can show the at least one WSI image on the display with a relevant cut location mark on the macroscopic view shown visually enhanced from other cut location marks on the macroscopic view to thereby allow a user to visually connect where the tissue section in the WSI image was obtained during a grossing procedure.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 16, 2015
Date of Patent: May 29, 2018
    Assignee: Sectra AB
Inventors: Fredrik Häll, Kristian Köpsén, Jesper Molin, Joackim Pennerup, Olle Westman, Tobias Dahlberg, Claes Lundström

  • Patent number: 9412162
Abstract: Methods, systems, workstations, computer programs visually enhance features of interest in an obtained image that are otherwise only visually apparent in a high magnification sub-slide view so that the visually enhanced features are visually apparent in a low magnification whole slide view and display the visually enhanced features on a display in a whole slide low magnification image view.
