    Abstract: Disclosed herein is a coating composition for coloring transparent containers such as glass bottles, the composition comprising a combination of a film-former such as an acrylic resin, a metal-free polymeric dye reactive with the resin, an adhesion promoter (and optionally an ultraviolet light absorber). Also disclosed are a method of coating containers with such a composition and the resulting product.
