  • Patent number: 11923954
Abstract: Techniques are described for a method of establishing a wireless ad hoc network using a series of wireless relays deployed in a geographical area where an extreme event has occurred. The deployed wireless relays may form a plurality of links between them to form the wireless ad hoc network where each of the wireless relays may serve as node in the wireless ad hoc network. The wireless ad hoc network may provide wireless services to devices within the geographical area. The wireless relays may be deployed to various locations within the geographical area using a plurality of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) that may receive control commands from a relay control device.

  • Patent number: 11839783
Abstract: An electric outlet fire detection and prevention system may comprise a temperature sensor and an electromagnetic interference (EMI) sensor. A processor within the system may monitor the measurements of the temperature and EMI sensors to determine that a fire has developed in an electric outlet box. The processor may then actuate a triggering mechanism in a cartridge containing fire extinguishing material such that the fire extinguishing material is dispersed in the outlet box. The fire extinguishing material may extinguish a developing fire and prevent the fire from spreading further. The processor may also be coupled with a server, which is configured to analyze measurements of the temperature and the EMI sensors and generate a building profile. When the server determines that any measurements deviate from the building profile, the server may instruct the processor to actuate the triggering mechanism and/or notify an electronic device associated with the building.

  • Patent number: 11465634
Abstract: A method includes receiving sensor data from a sensor associated with a vehicle and determining a likelihood that the vehicle is experiencing an emergency condition based on the sensor data. The method also includes sending an alert indicative of the likelihood, the alert comprising at least a portion of the sensor data.

  • Publication number: 20070023002
Abstract: A method and system for providing pilot fuel for a pilot ignition system of an internal combustion engine having one or more cylinders and having a lubrication system. A portion of the lubricating oil is diverted from the lubricating system. During the pilot ignition phase of the engine combustion cycle, the diverted lubricating oil is injected into the one or more cylinders.

  • Publication number: 20060107925
Abstract: An engine control strategy that ensures that NOx emissions from the engine will be maintained at an acceptable level. The control strategy is based on a two-dimensional fuel-air curve, in which air manifold pressure (AMP) is a function of fuel header pressure and engine speed. The control strategy provides for closed loop NOx adjustment to a base AMP value derived from the fuel-air curve.
