  • Publication number: 20050000554
Abstract: A dishwasher rack basket assembly that includes a water impervious basket of open mesh construction, the basket is selectively positionable between a first size and a second size, the first size securing small items while permitting flow of liquid therethrough, the second size smaller than the first size and not securing small items while permitting flow of liquid therethrough, and a projection positioned on the basket, wherein the projection is engageable to transform the basket from the first size to the second size.

  • Patent number: 6662814
Abstract: A mid-level spray-arm assembly for a dishwasher includes a bracket for mounting a spray-arm hub to an upper rack of the machine, and a bearing coupling extending between the hub and the bracket. The bearing coupling forms a first bearing surface for rotation of the bearing coupling relative to the bracket, and a second bearing surface for rotation of the spray-arm relative to the bearing coupling. Thus, redundant bearing surfaces are provided that facilitate a more even wearing of the bearing surfaces and allow rotation of the spray-arm even when one of the bearing surfaces fails.

  • Publication number: 20020139809
Abstract: A dishwasher basket assembly includes a basket and a handle selectively positionable between a first position approximately centered relative to the basket and a second position allowing substantially unobstructed access to the basket for loading and unloading of basket contents. The handle includes a peg configured to be received in a bracket on the side walls of the basket. A projection on a peg outer surface engages and disengages detents on an attachment bracket crown surface as the handle is moved between the first and second positions.
