  • Publication number: 20230037770
Abstract: The present technology pertains to a penannular slider in a user interface. The penannular slider can accept an input to drag an indicator about the penannular slider to a location between a first terminal end of the penannular slider representing a first input source, and a second terminal end of the penannular slider representing input audio from playback of a media item. The location of the indicator can control a mixing of audio from the first input source and the input audio, and generating a mix includes first audio from the first input source at a first volume level and second audio from the input audio at a second volume level based on the location of the indicator about the penannular slider.

  • Publication number: 20230040545
Abstract: The present technology pertains to managing a sample of a media item using a non-fungible token (NFT) and an associated smart contract. The present technology includes identifying a portion of the media item as a sample, and creating an NFT referencing assignment of a right associated with the sample of the media item. The NFT has an associated smart contract defining a condition upon satisfaction of which the right associated with the sample will be assigned. The present technology may also include identifying market data of the media item, where the market data includes at least one of a list price and historical sales volume for the media item, and identifying charts data, critical review scores, and social media interaction with the media items. The market data can be used to determine a spot price for the sample of the media item.

  • Publication number: 20230024373
Abstract: The present technology pertains to generating a playlist based on a shared attribute between content items. The present technology includes receiving a request to generate a playlist to including first media content from a first collection associated with the user account and second media content from a second collection associated with another user account. The technology also includes generating the playlist to include the first media content and the second media content when it is determined that a condition has been met, where the condition includes at least an identification of the user account as recommended to another user account. The user account can be provided with access to the playlist, and an interactive element that, when selected, causes a computing device associated with the user account to be directed to an e-commerce service at which a product is available for sale.

  • Publication number: 20220366424
Abstract: In some examples, methods and systems may process one or more payment transactions between a merchant and a customer by registering, by a biometric sensor of a payment object reader or a mobile device, a biometric characteristic as a biometric payment instrument, for example by obtaining data corresponding to a biometric characteristic of the customer. The data is converted into a digital signature of the biometric characteristic and compared with a registered biometric instrument at the time of transaction. If a match is obtained, the customer effects payments through the registered biometric instrument.

  • Publication number: 20220337898
Abstract: The present technology pertains to providing a live playback stream by a multi-media platform. During a live playback stream, the client device controls public playback of media items and is a source of live media during the live playback stream. The live playback stream can be made up of at least two streams between the client device and the multi-media platform. One stream is a playback control channel for transmitting data regarding playback controls pertaining to playback of recorded media content and another stream is a live media stream for transmitting data encoding live media. The multi-media platforms can transmit at least a portion of the data from the playback control channel and the live media stream to an audience member client device.

  • Patent number: 11410154
Abstract: In some examples, methods and systems may process one or more payment transactions between a merchant and a customer by obtaining at least one payment proxy having a syntax including a monetary currency indicator preceding an alphanumeric character. The payment proxy may be transmitted by a transmitter component of a payment beacon device. The method includes generating, through an application accessed through the customer device, a message by identifying the payment proxy in a message and a money transfer amount in the message; parsing the payment proxy to identify the merchant associated with the payment proxy in the message; identifying a merchant financial account associated with the identified merchant, based on a stored association between the merchant financial account and the identified merchant; and initiating, by the payment processing system, a transfer of funds indicative of the money transfer amount from a financial account of the customer to a financial account of the merchant.

  • Patent number: 11238426
Abstract: A method and apparatus for associating an account with a proxy card are disclosed. The proxy card can be associated with account data from multiple other cards, such as account data from a driver's license and from various payment cards, such as a credit card, a debit card, and a pre-paid gift card. In some embodiments, a card-holder can associate an additional card with the proxy card using a mobile device. The mobile device associates the additional card with the proxy card by causing updating of stored association information, that represents an association between the card and the account data of the multiple cards, with the account information.

  • Patent number: 10242357
Abstract: In some examples, disclosed methods and systems may configure using a proxy payment object a payment object reader to accept one or more payment objects. The method includes receiving, as an input from a merchant and in a specific manner, at least one object into a payment object reader communicatively coupled to a point-of-sale (POS) terminal. A portion of read-data is compared to a proxy payment object syntax. In response to obtaining a match between the read-data and the proxy payment object syntax with the read-data, the received object is determined to be a proxy payment object. A configuration component then generates a set of configuration instructions which when executed on the payment object reader and/or the POS terminal configures the payment object reader to accept one or more payment objects towards a payment transaction.

  • Patent number: 10210566
Abstract: Disclosed are method and apparatus that host auctions for completing payment transactions that benefit a party of the transactions. The technique transmits bidding invitations for completing a payment transaction to multiple payment processors. Among the received auction bids, the technique selects a winning bid from an individual payment processor that offers a best benefit to a party involved in the payment transaction (e.g., a consumer or a merchant). Through the auction process, the technique enables a cost-effective routing for completing the payment transaction.
