Abstract: A syringe includes a syringe body having a syringe barrel for receiving and administering a medicament, a hollow needle fluidly communicating with the syringe barrel, and a needle adapter disposed on the syringe body. An outer diameter of the needle adapter is wider than an outer diameter of the syringe barrel, and a distal surface of the needle adapter is substantially flat. The needle adapter facilitates a flush alignment of the distal surface of the needle adapter with at least one of a vial stopper and a vial stopper holder of a medicament vial to ensure that a tip of the needle is properly inserted into the vial to aspirate the medicament within the vial.

Abstract: The present system, method and apparatus are adapted for the quick and easy patching of inflatable devices. More specifically, the system, apparatus and methods comprise a tip, a body portion, an adhesive, a patch and a probe, wherein the tip and body portion are inserted into the inflatable device so as to apply the adhesive and patch to the interior of the device to create an air-tight seal. The disclosure thus provides an improved patching system, apparatus and method.

A rigid or semi-rigid cap retains the member and closes the opening in the member wall. Skin comfortable adhesive adheres the edge of the cap to the tissue surrounding the stoma. A flexible dilation tube facilitates insertion of the member and cooperates with a pump to inflate the member. The cap is preferably removeably attached to a standard two-piece ostomy faceplate and is provided with a filter element to vent flatus.

Abstract: The present invention relates to new surgical fasteners and methods of using the surgical fasteners. The surgical fasteners of the invention are in the form of tacks and comprise generally an elongate rod, a sharp conical head, a tail, and a transverse locking member extending from the tail above the plane of the rod. The fasteners are inserted into a bodily cavity for tissue and membrane fixation and approximation by the use of tack applicators. The tack applicators of the invention generally comprise an elongate handle, a loading tip and a carrier assembly that is removably inserted into the loading tip. The tacks are inserted and locked into the carrier assembly from which they may be disengaged.
