Patent number: 11897380Abstract: A liftgate in accordance with the present disclosure includes a lift mechanism and a moveable load platform. The load platform includes a proximal deck section, a distal deck section, and a center deck section positioned between the proximal deck section and the distal deck section. The load platform is selectively vertically movable between a lowered position and a raised position. The proximal deck section, center deck section, and distal deck section are pivotally coupled to one another such that the load platform is selectively moveable between an extended-operational position, wherein all of the deck sections are located substantially coplanar with one another for supporting cargo, and a retracted-stored position wherein the deck sections are folded with respect to one another and are located substantially parallel and adjacent to one another.Type: GrantFiled: June 2, 2022Date of Patent: February 13, 2024Assignee: ANTHONY LIFTGATES, INC.Inventors: Kurt Walker, Brandon Walker, Jesse Justus

Publication number: 20230218859Abstract: A catheter enclosure device for locking an intravenous catheter therein with tamper-evident features to deter unauthorized use. The catheter enclosure device may be particularly useful for peripherally inserted central catheters (PICC). The enclosure device comprises an open-top box and a removable lid for covering the box. The open-top box has a compartment for holding the proximal end of an intravenous catheter. The lid comprises a panel for covering the open portion of the open-top box and a folding wing that overhangs the forward end of the box when covering the box. The folding wing further comprises a retaining anchor. When the folding wing is folded down, the retaining anchor inserts into a locking slot on the forward end of the box, thereby preventing the lid from being removed off the box. Also disclosed are methods for using the catheter enclosure device.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 21, 2023Publication date: July 13, 2023Applicant: PICCGUARD, LLCInventors: Michael Justus, Jesse Justus, Katherine Justus

Publication number: 20230158274Abstract: A temporary catheter security device for temporarily locking an infusion catheter coupling while an infusion is in-progress. This catheter security device is designed to prevent, discourage, or detect unauthorized access to this catheter coupling. The catheter security device could have an enclosure design or a bag-type design. The catheter security device has openings where the infusion tubings exit. These openings are sufficiently wide to avoid obstruction of the fluid infusion.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 23, 2022Publication date: May 25, 2023Inventors: Katherine Justus, Jesse Justus, Michael Justus

Publication number: 20220402711Abstract: A liftgate load system for use with a vehicle, which includes deck sections that are movable between an in use position where the deck sections form a horizontal platform to a stowed position where the deck sections are folded a vertical arrangement. The liftgate load system also includes an adapter on the platform that is provided with a door that is movable between a closed position and an open position and backing plate that is configured to be engaged by a dock lock hook of a loading dock to limit movement of the lift system away from the loading dock. The door is configured to move from the cover position to the open position as the load platform moves from the use position to the stowed position.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 17, 2022Publication date: December 22, 2022Inventor: Jesse JUSTUS
