  • Publication number: 20230263591
Abstract: A dental overlay device includes a base, connecting strut, and veneer holder. The base has a curvature in the form of an arch of a patient and defines a curved axis. The connecting strut has a first end attached to the base and a second end and extends in a generally orthogonal direction to the curved axis. The veneer holder has first and second ends and extends in a transverse direction to the direction the connecting strut extends. The second end of the connecting strut is attached to the veneer holder. A dental overlay device and veneer combination includes a first veneer and a second veneer prepared for mounting onto the plurality of teeth. Floss is configured for passing between the first veneer and the second veneer when the dental overlay device is mounted onto the plurality of teeth.

  • Publication number: 20220071736
Abstract: A tooth preparation system (100) includes a dental tool (150) and guide device (110) for contacting the dental tool to limit its movement in removing predetermined tooth structure from a working tooth. The guide device includes a body (120) having an inner surface (146A), a channel (122A, 122B), an aperture (124, 126, 136), and an opening (127A, 127B). The inner surface is configured for attachment to a tooth to releasably fix the guide device. The channel extends partially through the body, defines a longitudinal axis, is configured for contacting a flange (152A, 152B, 154A, 154B) extending from a shaft of the dental tool to limit a movement of the tool, and defines a channel diameter perpendicular to a direction the longitudinal axis extends. The aperture extends through the body and is configured to expose the predetermined tooth structure. The opening extends between the channel and the aperture and has an opening diameter less than the channel diameter.

  • Publication number: 20160025973
Abstract: A portable heads-up display device for deployment on the dashboard of a vehicle. The device includes a housing suitable for mounting to or placing on a surface, and containing system electronics and a projector. A curved high-gain reflective screen disposed on the housing rearward of the projector receives an image produced by the projector, and reflects that image to a semi-transparent curved combiner disposed near the front of the housing. A virtual image appears at the combiner that has a focal point in the distance beyond the combiner. One or more rear-facing sensors and the control electronics detect hand gestures by the driver, which controls the operation of the device in displaying images. The device mounts to a dashboard via a conformable and foot that adapts to the shape of the dashboard. Magnetic coupling between the housing and a puck element held in the foot facilitates removal and replacement of the device.
