  • Patent number: 9764110
Abstract: By using an iterative loop of data collection, binaural tone generation/presentation, and analysis binaural tones can be introduced to induce an existing brain state to change from one associated with being awake to a state associated with being asleep. The current state of an individual's brain is determined by measuring movement and electrical activity. Using this data a binaural tone can be generated to induce the brain state to change. As the state of the brain is continually monitored the applied binaural tone is modified and applied until the desired sleep state is obtained.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 19, 2014
Date of Patent: September 19, 2017
    Assignee: Mind Rocket, Inc.
Inventors: Michael C. Larson, Jesse McClure

  • Publication number: 20140095618
Abstract: An electronic device, worn like a button, supports and enhances social face-to-face interaction. The electronic button stores information associated with a person's professional and/or personal interests and preferences. This information is continuously broadcast and, when received by another button, analyzed to determine if the receiving and transmitting button possess any commonalities. If a commonality is found, colored light(s) illuminate to let the individuals within the immediate vicinity know a common interest exist. In one version different colored lights can represent different interests.

  • Publication number: 20120323230
Abstract: A laser tissue fusion device is optimized for particular surgical applications to join tissue layers. The device has two opposed arms that engage and disengage to clamp and release layers of tissue therebetween. The distal end of the first arm is disposed opposite the distal end of the second arm. A laser energy source generates therapeutic laser energy is either integrated within the device is a separate unit. An energy pathway transmits the laser energy to the distal end of the first arm to deliver the laser energy to tissue layers clamped between the distal ends of the arms. An actuator decreases the separation distance between the distal ends of the arms to clamp the tissue layers. A switch activates the laser energy source upon engagement. The laser energy source delivers a burst of energy at a predetermined wavelength for a predetermined period of time sufficient to spot-weld the tissue.
