Abstract: A radiology workstation includes at least one display device, at least one user input device, and an processor configured to: provide a radiology examination reading environment configured to display images of a radiology examination on the at least one display device, receive a radiology report for the radiology examination which is entered using the at least one user input device; analyze the radiology report to predict one or more billing codes for the radiology examination; analyze the radiology report to identify any missing content for supporting the one or more billing codes that is missing from the radiology report; and one of (i) in response to identifying missing content, display an indication of the missing content, or (ii) in response to not identifying any missing content, storing the radiology report in a database.

Abstract: An AI system may be configured to combine a marked area of interest (“AOI”) in a medical image (such as from a user clicking an area of a displayed medical image) with natural language understanding (“NLU”) of a description of the medical image (such as provided by the user via voice input) to determine a more precise region for the AOI. This facilitates more accurate and simplified reporting by using the more precise AOI to determine where to automatically place the description in the report and/or to determine how to best supplement the description with automatically determined anatomical information.

Abstract: A non-transitory computer readable medium (26, 30) stores instructions executable by at least one electronic processor (20, 32) to a method (100) of monitoring performance of medical professionals. The method includes tracking a quantification of examinations performed by one or more medical professionals; tracking credentials under which the examinations are performed; and outputting, on at least one display device, a representation of usage of one or more credentials by one or more medical professionals of the plurality of medical professionals based on the tracked quantities of examinations and the tracked credentials under which the examinations are performed.

Abstract: An apparatus for scheduling radiologists is configured to: track historical radiologist performance data related to a radiology staff who perform radiology examination readings for a plurality of medical facilities; analyze the historical radiologist performance data to determine reading capacities of the radiologists; determine reading capacities for future time blocks based on the reading capacities of the radiologists and a duty schedule of the radiologists of the radiology staff for the future time blocks; and estimate radiology examination volumes for the future time blocks based on historical demand on the radiology staff for radiology examination readings.
