Abstract: Systems and methods of repairing tissue are disclosed. Systems and methods may repair an opening through a hip capsule. Systems and methods preferably repair the tissue while minimally encroaching on the tissue immediately behind the repair, such as the hip joint tissues. Some systems may repair the tissue with a suture passer having a needle that slides in axial alignment with the passer and includes a first recess for passing the suture in a first axial direction and a second recess for passing the suture in an opposing axial direction. Some systems may pass a portion of a repair construct in a retrograde direction, placing the repair construct in a preferred arrangement accommodating for the stresses on the tissue.

Abstract: A system, device, and method for sensing air quality with a sensor platform is disclosed. The method includes (i) directing a set of mobile sensors to a coarse region wherein the coarse region has coarse size based on variance of prior air quality measurements taken at locations within a vicinity of the coarse region, and (ii) directing the set of mobile sensors to a fine region wherein the fine region has a fine size based on variance of prior air quality measurements taken at locations within a vicinity of the fine region. The variance of air quality measurements associated with the fine region is greater than a variance of air quality measurements associated with the coarse region.

Abstract: A system, device, and method for sensing air quality with a sensor platform is disclosed. The method includes (i) directing an air quality measurement system to a predicted high information region wherein the predicted high information region is determined based on high variance of prior air quality measurements taken at different times, (ii) directing the air quality measurement system to a predicted low information region wherein the predicted low information region is determined based on low variance of prior air quality measurements taken at different times. The air quality measurement system is preferentially directed to the predicted high information region.

Abstract: A diffuser for use with a wound retractor and configured to deliver gases includes an interface tube for connecting to a gases supply and a diffuser interface positioned at a proximal end of the interface tube, the diffuser interface configured for delivering gases received from the gases supply through the interface tube, and the diffuser interface comprising a diffusion mechanism configured to deliver gases in a diffusion direction. A wound retractor with an integrated diffuser is also disclosed. The wound retractor includes an upper ring, a lower ring, a sleeve extending between and connecting the upper ring to the lower ring, and an integrated diffuser interface having a gases inlet and a diffusion mechanism.
