  • Patent number: 11947679
Abstract: A method for managing vulnerability data may include: (1) ingesting, by a data ingestion engine, vulnerability data from a plurality of sources; (2) normalizing, by a data normalizer module, the vulnerability data into a plurality of data records; (3) generating, by a data processing module, a dynamic risk score for each data record; (4) storing, by a risk record register, a risk record for each data record, wherein the risk record may include the dynamic risk score, a priority level, an identifier for a software application, and a software dependency; (5) selecting, by a control policy selection engine, a control policy based on one of the dynamic risk scores; (6) implementing, by the risk record register, the selected control policy; (7) monitoring, by the risk record register, implementation of the control policy; and (8) updating, by the risk record register, the control policy selection engine based on the monitoring.

  • Publication number: 20140081415
Abstract: Disclosed herein are devices and methods for fast and simple generation of an anastomosis. In certain embodiments, the devices and methods involve the deployment of self-expanding stents without the use of a catheter. The devices and methods disclosed herein further utilize a sheath that allows an operator to deploy the stent without the use of an inter-lumen device.

  • Patent number: 7227158
Abstract: A dual dosimeter system with (1) a stick-on, self-indicating, instant radiation dosimeter applied onto (2) a conventional radiation dosimeter and/or detector for monitoring high energy radiations, such as X-ray, electrons and neutrons. Radiation dosimeters, such as X-ray film and TLD (Thermoluminescence Dosimeters), are highly sensitive but are not instant. Radiation detectors, such Geiger counter, ionization chamber and silicon diode type electronic detectors, are highly sensitive and instant but have several other drawbacks, e.g., they are fragile, bulky, dose rate dependent or require electrical power. In the event of a dirty bomb, nuclear detonation or a radiological accident, one needs to know the harmful high dose (e.g., higher than 0.1 rad) instantly so proper precautions can be taken and medical treatment, if required, can be given to the victim. If a self-indicating instant dosimeter is applied to the conventional dosimeters and detectors, one would know high dose instantly.
