  • Patent number: 11925570
Abstract: An example medical stent for treating a body lumen is disclosed. The example stent includes an expandable scaffold having a first end region, a second end region and an outer surface. The stent further includes a first fixation member coupled to the expandable scaffold and a biodegradable material disposed along the first fixation member at a first tissue engagement region. Further, the biodegradable material is designed to degrade from a first configuration in which the biodegradable material shields the first fixation member from a target tissue site to a second configuration in which the first fixation member is engaged with the target tissue site.

  • Patent number: 11531121
Abstract: A method is provided to reduce the counting times in radiation detection systems using machine learning, wherein the method comprises: receiving output data from a detector which is to detect a target material from a target body; analyzing the output data; identifying a material of interest from the analyzed output data; and controlling a source of the target material to prevent the source from harming the target body. An apparatus is also provided which comprises: a detector to detect radiation and to provide an output data in real-time; and a processor coupled to the detector, wherein the processor is to: receive the output data; analyze the output data; identify a material of interest from the analyzed output data; and control a source of the target material.

  • Publication number: 20210259979
Abstract: Provided herein are microencapsulated compositions, optionally oil-in-water emulsions, comprising one or more long chain polyunsaturated fatty acids (LCPUFAs), optionally in triglyceride form, wherein the encapsulant comprises one or more low molecular weight proteins. In particular embodiments the composition has a surface free fat content of about 1%. Also provided are methods for protecting one or more LCPUFAs, or one or more oils comprising the one or more LCPUFAs, from oxidative degradation, comprising encapsulating the LCPUFAs or oil with an encapsulant comprising one or more low molecular weight proteins.
