  • Patent number: 7701394
Abstract: A self-complementary patch antenna is disclosed. A hexagonal lattice (10) consisting of triangular conducting patches (1) is formed together with at least one dielectric layer onto a ground-plane. Each triangular patch is then fed by means of three RF signal probes in a symmetrical configuration positioned near each corner of the triangle, whereby an arbitrary lobe-steering and polarization state can be established by selection of amplitude and phase for each RF signal probe.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 10, 2004
Date of Patent: April 20, 2010
Assignee: Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson (publ)
Inventors: Anders Hook, Jessica Westerberg, Joakim Johansson
  • Patent number: 7642979
Abstract: A dual polarized wave-guide notch antenna array is disclosed. The device comprises a feed section having at least two input transmission lines, a feed/wave-guide interface providing an aperture for transferring a radio frequency electromagnetic wave between the feed section and a wave-guide mode in a wave-guide section having ridges. The wave-guide section transfers energy between the feed/wave-guide interface and a tapered notch section, thereby gradually adjusting a created electromagnetic field towards free space conditions.

Abstract: A dual polarised wave-guide notch antenna array is disclosed. The device comprises a feed section (1) having at least two input transmission lines, a feed/wave-guide interface (5) providing an aperture for transferring a radio frequency electromagnetic wave between the feed section (1) and a wave-guide mode in a wave-guide section (3) having ridges. • Publication number: 20070222696
Abstract: The present invention relates to an antenna device for wireless transmission and reception of information using electromagnetic signals, comprising at least two dipole antenna elements, where each dipole antenna element comprises a first dipole arm and a second dipole arm, which first and second dipole arms are extending in essentially opposite directions from a respective feeding point end. The dipole arms are formed in metal layers on a laminate, having a first side and a second side, which laminate further has a predefined thickness (T) separating the first and second side. Each first dipole arm extend on the first side of the laminate and each second dipole arm extend on the second side of the laminate in such a way that the two adjacent dipole arms of adjacent antenna elements partially overlap during a distance (D).
