  • Publication number: 20240106124
Abstract: An antenna system includes: a patch antenna element disposed at a first level of the antenna system; an energy coupler configured and coupled to the patch antenna element to transfer energy between the patch antenna element and a front-end circuit; a ground conductor disposed at a second level of the antenna system, the patch antenna element and the ground conductor being disposed a separation distance away from each other and bounding respective sides of a volume defined by a projection, normal to a surface of the patch antenna element, of the patch antenna element to the ground conductor; and a floating conductor that is displaced from the ground conductor and the patch antenna element, the floating conductor comprising a body extending over a portion of the separation distance outside of, and in close proximity to, the volume.

  • Patent number: 10667344
Abstract: A retrofit lamp is for use with a fluorescence lighting ballast. The retrofit lamp comprises a filament emulation circuit. A detection circuit detects (at least) if a connected ballast is an instant start electronic ballast or an electromagnetic ballast by detecting a potentially existing heating voltage across the filament emulation circuit. In response, an LED arrangement may be connected in a series configuration (for an instant start electronic ballast) or in a parallel configuration (for an electromagnetic ballast). In this way, the output power is managed to ensure efficient operation. A different pin safety function may also be provided in the different configurations.

  • Publication number: 20060150459
Abstract: The present invention comprises a combination of articles of manufacture where the articles are combined using a multi-function tag. The first article of manufacture that is combined is the tag itself. The tag has a tag body, an information housing portion attached to the tag body, and a frictional fastener attached to the tag body. The frictional fastener has an elongated shape and has ridges disposed substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal dimension of the elongated shape. The tag body has an aperture, and the tag has a string fastener that passes through the body aperture to form an attachment between the string and the tag. The second article that is combined has a frictional fastener receiving portion. This second article is attached to the tag by a union of the frictional fastener and the frictional fastener receiving portion and held in place by the ridges,of the frictional fastener. The third article has a string fastener receiving portion.

  • Publication number: 20060100027
Abstract: The present invention comprises a golf club head that is adapted to be swung through an incoherent material to strike a golf ball. The golf club head has a body having an aperture. The aperture reduces the resistance of the golf club head to motion through the incoherent material. In an embodiment, the present invention comprises a plurality of apertures that reduce such resistance.
