Abstract: The present invention discloses a biosensor for visual detection of an analyte, based on the light to heat conversion properties of metal nanoparticles: the analyte is visually detected by the color change in the support areas (where the analyte is present), produced as a result of the heat generated by the metal nanoparticles where they are irradiated with an external light source. Use of said biosensor in a method for the detection of analytes is also claimed.

Abstract: The present invention provides a portable x-ray device with a housing having a side and rear handle, each with triggers and indicator lights in locations suitable for manipulation for use. A trigger is located at each end of each handle and deposed at an angle to be actuated by an operator, with the triggers on one handle controlling a function of the device and the triggers of the other handle controlling a different function. The invention also provides a system including a device with a processor and a wireless device for communication with an external processor.

An integration platform determines whether a network identifier for accessing a social networking service via a communication network is associated with subscriber account information maintained by the communication service provider. The integration platform also generates a request for linking a social networking identifier associated with the social networking service with the subscriber account information based on the determination. The integration platform further initiates a rendering of a notification message received from the communication service provider to a user interface of the social networking service based on acceptance of the request.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a biosensor for visual detection of an analyte, based on the light to heat conversion properties of metal nanoparticles: the analyte is visually detected by the color change in the support areas (where the analyte is present), produced as a result of the heat generated by the metal nanoparticles where they are irradiated with an external light source. Use of said biosensor in a method for the detection of analytes is also claimed.

Abstract: A memory module comprises a volatile memory subsystem configured to coupled to a memory channel in computer system and capable of serving as main memory for the computer system, a non-volatile memory subsystem providing storage for the computer system, and a module controller coupled to the volatile memory subsystem, the non-volatile memory subsystem, and the C/A bus. The module controller is configured to control intra-module data transfers between the volatile memory subsystem and the non-volatile memory subsystem. The module controller is further configured to monitor C/A signals on the C/A bus and schedule the intra-module data transfers in accordance with the C/A signals so that the intra-module data transfers do not conflict with accesses to the volatile memory subsystem by the memory controller.
