  • Publication number: 20240070524
Abstract: A device, system, and method for machine-learning based noise suppression is provided. The device (and/or system) comprises a microphone, an output device, a noise suppression engine and a machine-learning noise suppression engine. The machine-learning noise suppression engine receives audio data from the noise suppression engine or the microphone, applies machine learning algorithms to the audio data to generate machine-learning based noise suppression parameters, and provides the parameters to the noise suppression engine. The noise suppression engine receives the audio data from the microphone and, prior to receiving the parameters, applies non-machine-learning based noise suppression to the audio data to generate noise-suppressed audio data, and provides the noise-suppressed audio data to the output device.

  • Patent number: 11653357
Abstract: Techniques for radio frequency uplink performance assessment utilizing downlink erasure frame analysis are provided. An indication of if a received frame has been determined to be an erasure frame is received from a plurality of receiver wireless communications devices. The indications of if the received frame has been determined to be an erasure frame are aggregated. The frame identified by the frame identifier is declared to be an erasure frame when at least one of the plurality of wireless communications devices has indicated the received frame has been determined to be an erasure frame. That an error occurred on an uplink between the sender wireless communication device and the RAN is determined when the frame is declared an erasure frame.

  • Patent number: 11128955
Abstract: Improved audio processing management in a portable converged communication device is provided. A default mode of audio processing is provided where audio input to a microphone is routed and processed simultaneously to a plurality of different processors in parallel. The default mode is suspended in response to a keyword input to a microphone. The keyword is recognized by a speech recognition engine (ASR). The keyword enables audio processing through one of the plurality of processors while selectively suspending other audio processing through the other processors.

  • Publication number: 20200302543
Abstract: A method and system provide a way of determining if equipment is at risk at an incident scene. A call is received about a new incident. The new incident includes an incident type, an incident location, and an incident severity. It is then determined that insured equipment is located at the incident location. An incident report is generated. The incident report includes a list of at-risk equipment at the incident location. A property owner of the at-risk equipment at the incident location is then alerted.

  • Patent number: 10776892
Abstract: A device, system and method for screening of personally identifiable information is provided. An incident type of a particular incident is determined. Responsive to determining that potential evidence associated with the particular incident includes personally identifiable information, the potential evidence being of a particular evidence type including one or more of media and metadata generated by a user or a device associated with the user, a personally identifiable information processing mode is selected to process the potential evidence as a function of the incident type of the particular incident and an evidence type of the potential evidence. When selected mode is a storing mode, a record of the potential evidence is generated that included the personally identifiable information to be stored in an electronic storage device.

  • Patent number: 10230411
Abstract: A method and apparatus for distinguishing voice signals that are played together over the same speaker employs spectral reshaping of one or more of the audio signals. The spectral reshaping shifts modifies the timber of the voice signal while not modifying the pitch of the voice signal. Additional techniques can be used to further distinguish voice signals, such as dynamic gain offset and frequency shifting. After processing one or more signals to spectrally reshape them, they can be played over the same speaker. A user hearing the resulting acoustic signal will be more able to distinguish between the multiple voice signals being played.
