  • Patent number: 7182352
Abstract: A skating training device with a V-shape frame that has a front end and two rear portions with handles. The front end includes a wheeled leg and the rear portions include rear legs that terminate with skating blade assemblies. A brake system includes actuating levers that transmit a force of predetermined magnitude to an elongated bar that is pivotally mounted to the blade assemblies and include a braking teethed plate mounted thereto so that predetermined movements of the actuating lever result in causing the teethed plate member to sink against the ice surface. Optionally, the blade assemblies can be replaced with wheel assemblies for land skating.

  • Publication number: 20070026384
Abstract: Methods and compositions are provided for determining the potential of a membrane. In one aspect, the method comprises: (a) introducing a first reagent comprising a hydrophobic fluorescent ion capable of redistributing from a first face of the membrane to a second face of the membrane in response to changes in the potential of the membrane, as described by the Nernst equation, (b) introducing a second reagent which labels the first face or the second face of the membrane, which second reagent comprises a chromophore capable of undergoing energy transfer by either (i) donating excited state energy to the fluorescent ion, or (ii) accepting excited state energy from the fluorescent ion, (c) exposing the membrane to radiation; (d) measuring energy transfer between the fluorescent ion and the second reagent, and (e) relating the energy transfer to the membrane potential. Energy transfer is typically measured by fluorescence resonance energy transfer.

Abstract: A security method (100) in a radio access network can include monitoring (102) (by either a base station controller or a mobile radio) for one or more abnormalities among CPU utilization, memory storage, memory read-write, malicious incoming or outgoing messages, and virus file names, notifying (104) of a specific abnormality detected, and receiving (108) access, conditional access or limited access based on the specific abnormality detected. The method can further include receiving updates (112) used for monitoring the abnormalities. The method can further include the optional step (106) of issuing a notification from a mobile radio to a base station controller if the specific abnormality is detected and suspending (110) one or more services based on the specific abnormality detected. • Patent number: 7121531
Abstract: A gate assembly with moving gate members with one pivoting end and a moving end. This moving end includes upper and lower tubular members that receive the ends of a protruding reinforcement member mounted to a housing for the locking hardware. The ends of the protruding reinforcement member extend internally a sufficient distance to enhance the structural integrity of the moving end. The reinforcement member readily aligns the housing with the tubular members of the moving end and provides a sturdy structure that is tamper proof. Through openings in the walls of the housing cooperate to permit the operation of the locking hardware.
