  • Patent number: 10031981
Abstract: A method and associated system for converting both a tabbed table in an XML format and a collapsible section in the XML format to forms configured for storage in a relational database and use by a web-based application. The tabbed table is a first type of unstructured rich text information in the XML format that is tabbed table specific. The collapsible section is a second type of unstructured rich text information in the XML format that is collapsible section specific. The tabbed table in the XML format is transformed to an XHTML format. The tabbed table in the XHMTL format is exported from the relational database to the web-based application. Storage of the collapsible section in the XHTML format in the relational database is initiated. The collapsible section in the XHMTL format is exported from the relational database to the web-based application.

  • Patent number: 9552402
Abstract: A system and method is provided for exporting data from a client-server, collaborative application to a relational database and/or web based application. The method is implemented on a computing infrastructure and includes extracting unstructured rich text information hosted in a client-server, collaborative application. The method further includes converting the unstructured rich text information to XML files using a series of XML APIs. The method further includes transforming the XML files (data) to XHTML using reusable stylesheets unique to each type of unstructured rich text information, and utilizing the xHMTL in a web based application.

  • Patent number: 9071560
Abstract: A system and method is provided for tracking and/or organizing email and, in particular, a system and method for tagging email in Web 2.0 applications and using the tags in tag clouds is provided. The system includes a computing system that has first program instructions to generate tag clouds having tags linked to associated emails in a collaborative application. A computer readable media stores the first program instructions and a central processing unit executes the first program instructions.

  • Patent number: 7992191
Abstract: A system and method for securely controlling (e.g., “starting” and “stopping”) a WebSphere Portal (WP) in a production environment without the requirement of having knowledge of (and using) the administrator credentials (ID and password). The system and method, as implemented in a Java application, receives from requesting users and determines whether the requesting users are authorized to control (start/stop) the portal by comparing each requesting user's ID and PW against a list of authorized user IDs and PWs and, if there is a match, passing on the authorized user ID and PW to the portal for controlling (starting/stopping) the WebSphere Portal. The system and method further conveys portal control request authorized user acceptances or portal control request unauthorized user rejections—depending upon whether the requesting user's ID and PW matches any of the list of authorized user IDs and PWs.
