Abstract: Method of sharing contact lists, address books, buddy list between users that subscribe to a social networking service via voice calls, data calls, (SMS/MMS) or instant messages/chat. Alledged goal is to provide an improved mechanism of providing communication party related information similar to caller ID for voice calls, the information being more than the telephone number. Only example given of this information is number, name, relationship and degree of seperation.

Abstract: A method and an inference engine for processing telephone communication data of telephone parties of a telephone network are provided to allow better services and better allocation of resources in a telephone network. The inference engine comprises an obtainer for obtaining telephone communication data that associates telephone parties identifiable by telephone network identifiers with usage data that describes usage of one or more services of a telephone network. Further, the inference engine also comprises a generator for generating contact structure data for a set of the telephone parties based on the telephone communication data, wherein the contact structure data expresses a degree of connectivity between each member of at least a part of the set and one or more other members. The generated data gives the required information to improve services and resource allocation in the network.

Abstract: A peer-to-peer (P2P) system is described herein which has a distributed hash table (DHT) overlay network containing multiple DHT nodes each of which has a complete distributed DHT hash table which contains information identifying a specific range of hashes for each of the DHT nodes such that when anyone of the DHT nodes receives a query asking for a specific key then the queried DHT node interacts with their respective DHT table to determine which one of the DHT nodes is storing the specific key and to forward ‘the query in one network hop to the particular DHT node which is storing the specific key. The P2P system can also implement one or more data-related mechanisms including a bootstrap mechanism, a replication mechanism, an update mechanism and a recover mechanism which enable fault-tolerant DHT nodes.

Abstract: A data mining system includes a planning and learning module which receives as input a knowledge model and a set of goals and automatically produces as output a plurality of plans. The system includes a data mining processing unit which receives the plans as instructions and automatically creates results which are provided back to the planning and learning module as feedback. A method for data mining includes the steps of receiving as input at a planning and learning module a knowledge model and a set of goals. There is the step of automatically producing as output of the planning and learning module a plurality of plans from the input. There is the step of receiving by a data mining processing unit the plans as instructions. There is the step of automatically creating results by the data mining processing unit. There is the step of providing back to the planning and learning module the results as feedback.
