  • Patent number: 10306124
Abstract: A system providing a removable camera attachment for a low-speed dental handpiece and a cavity excavation viewing system. The camera viewing attachment provides a silicone-encased camera board with a lens that magnifies the cavity preparation site and an LED that illuminates the site. Visual information is transmitted to a viewing screen housed in a portable monitor. Because the low-speed dental handpiece does not use water, the images produced by the camera are clear. The system significantly improves a dentist's ability to assess the complete removal of decay and its proximity to a patient's nerve. The system can also be used in performing a root canal.

  • Publication number: 20130264296
Abstract: A filtering apparatus removes solid material from a fluid in a channel. The filtering apparatus comprises a housing that comprises a substantially vertical passage, a substantially horizontal passage connected to the vertical passage, and an outlet connected to the substantially horizontal passage; a filter medium comprising a plurality of transverse rods and a plurality of filter plates rotatably disposed along each of the transverse rods; a guide track system configured to guide the endless belt from the channel to the outlet; and a drive mechanism configured to convey the filter medium around the closed loop. The guide track system comprises two or more release points where the bearing portions of the filter plates can rotate about the transverse rods so as to permit dislodgement of the solid material from the filter plates. The two release points are located in a portion of the closed loop in the substantially horizontal passage.

  • Patent number: 4852432
Abstract: A bottle cap opener in the form of a fixed base includes a laterally directed U-shaped bottle neck embracing hollow portion for receiving a portion of the neck of the bottle below a rim. A lever is pivotally mounted to and overlies the base. The lever includes a front arm having an end abutting the U-shaped hollow portion of the base and engagable with the lower edge of the bottle cap to the side of the opener proximate to the handle. A spring mounted to the base engages the lever to bias the front arm downwardly and toward the U-shaped hollow portion. A magnetic appendix is hinged to the U-shaped hollow portion to the side thereof diametrically opposite the pivoted handle and extends in line with the handle for movement between a first position overlying and in contact with the top of the bottle cap in an upwardly oblique raised position with respect thereto, permitting manual removal of the cap from the appendix after the cap is separated from the bottle rim.
