  • Publication number: 20100054877
Abstract: A self-contained crawler assembly is engageable to a stringer and is adapted to position a drill bushing along the stringer for performing machining operations. The crawler assembly includes a longitudinal slider, a lateral slider and a controller for regulating operation of the longitudinal and lateral sliders for positioning the drill bushing at a hole location. In a further embodiment, the crawler assembly may include a longitudinal friction drive which is directly engageable to the stringer and which is operative to move in a direction parallel to the stringer.

  • Publication number: 20090304482
Abstract: A system for loading cargo containers into a storage hold, and offloading cargo containers from the storage hold, especially of a vehicle, such as an aircraft. The system includes at least one guide rail and a motorized platform, onto which cargo containers are loaded, cooperating mechanically with the guide rail. The guide rail guides the cargo laden motorized platform into the storage hold, and the motorized platform deposits the cargo upon remote command. The motorized platform has a chassis; a power source; a control module controlling drive motors of the wheels of the platform; and means for reciprocating at least a portion of an upper surface of the platform sufficient to elevate a load placed thereon above the guide rail height.

  • Publication number: 20090083488
Abstract: In one embodiment, the present invention includes a method for receiving a bus message in a first cache corresponding to a speculative access to a portion of a second cache by a second thread, and dynamically determining in the first cache if an inter-thread dependency exists between the second thread and a first thread associated with the first cache with respect to the portion. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

  • Patent number: 7458065
Abstract: A method for analyzing a set of spawning pairs, where each spawning pair identifies at least one speculative thread. The analysis may be practiced via software in a compiler, binary optimizer, standalone modeler, or the like. The analysis may include determining a predicted execution time for a sequence of program instructions, given the set of spawning pairs, for a target processor having a known number of thread units, where the target processor supports speculative multithreading. The method is further to select a spawning pair, according to a greedy approach, if the spawning pair provides a performance enhancement, in terms of decreased execution time due to increased parallelism, when the speculative thread is spawned during execution of a code sequence. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.

  • Publication number: 20080244223
Abstract: According to one example embodiment of the inventive subject matter, the method and apparatus described herein is used to generate an optimized speculative version of a static piece of code. The portion of code is optimized in the sense that the number of instructions executed will be smaller. However, since the applied optimization is speculative, the optimized version can be incorrect and some mechanism to recover from that situation is required. Thus, the quality of the produced code will be measured by taking into account both the final length of the code as well as the frequency of misspeculation.

  • Publication number: 20080134196
Abstract: The invention relates to a multiversion storage configuration which can store multiple values per speculative set of instructions for one storage position in order to enable the real-time precalculation and execution of the body of the set of instructions from a speculative instruction set. The invention also relates to the validation of the input values which can be calculated and used in the execution of the speculative instruction set. The invention further relates to a method of performing said validation step.

  • Publication number: 20080121574
Abstract: A device for the separation of waste materials in accordance with their densities is provided and includes a vat which is fillable with a fluid for the separation of detritus by means of floatation and decantation. Conveyer belts are provided for the removal of the supernatant and decanted materials. A vibrating sieve is provided for the pre-separation of debris prior to introduction into the vat. The vibrating sieve extracts large materials and small materials which tend to produce silt in the vat. Means are provided for the removal of the decanted sludge.

Abstract: A method for analyzing a set of spawning pairs, where each spawning pair identifies at least one speculative thread. The method, which may be practiced via software in a compiler or standalone modeler, determines execution time for a sequence of program instructions, given the set of spawning pairs, for a target processor having a known number of thread units, where the target processor supports speculative multithreading. • Publication number: 20060020775
Abstract: Disclosed are selected embodiments of a processor that may include a plurality of thread units and a register file architecture to support speculative multithreading. For at least one embodiment, live-in values for a speculative thread are computed via execution of a precomputation slice and are stored in a validation buffer for later validation. A global register file holds the committed architecture state generated by a non-speculative thread. Each thread unit includes a local register file. A directory indicates, for each architectural register, which speculative thread(s) have generated a value for the architectural register. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.

  • Patent number: 6946547
Abstract: The present invention provides a system for the improved detection of ecstasy-class compounds in biological samples. New ecstasy-class analogs are provided for detection of such ecstasy-class drugs. These analogs are compounds, or salts thereof, of a 2-amino-methylenedioxyphenyl (MDP) derivative attached to Z, where Z is a moiety capable of bonding, either directly or indirectly, with an immunogenic carrier, a detectable label, or a solid capture vehicle. Such analogs may be used to construct immunogens, enzyme or enzyme-donor conjugates, and other conjugates. The immunogens reproducibly generate antibodies with an exquisite ability to distinguish various ecstasy-class drugs in biological samples from potentially interfering substances. The specific antibodies and the conjugates may be used to distinguish and measure various ecstasy-class compounds in biological samples, such as those obtained from an individual suspected of substance abuse.

  • Patent number: 6548645
Abstract: To improve the detection of LSD, and LSD metabolites in biological samples, antibodies are raised to 2-oxo-3-hydroxy-LSD conjugated to a protein carrier. Selected antibodies are matched with an immunoassay reagent in which the 2-oxo-3-hydroxy-LSD is conjugated in the same position to a labeling or separation means. The set of reagents can be used in immunoassays for detecting or confirming the presence of LSD or LSD metabolites in a sample potentially containing interfering substances.
