Abstract: A multimedia service apparatus and method for multimedia service providers outside home to UPnP devices inside home using a home gateway and a service gateway platform is provided. In the multimedia service apparatus and method, the home gateway and the service gateway platform such as an open service gateway initiative (OSGi) service platform are used inside a home so that the multimedia service providers outside home can provide a multimedia content on a home network to a universal plug and play (UPnP) audio/video (AV) MediaRenderer following a UPnP AV structure based on UPnP, to reproduce or store the multimedia content in a UPnP AV MediaServer. The multimedia service apparatus includes: a UPnP AV (audio/video) device connected to a home network by the multimedia service provider of an external network; and a gateway device providing a multimedia service to the UPnP AV device using the service gateway platform.

Abstract: Disclosed are a wearable mobile phone capable of detecting EMG changed by hand motion of a user and a control method of an input unit of the wearable mobile phone. The wearable mobile phone includes an EMG measuring unit 10 having a plurality of EMG measuring sensors 11 for detecting the EMG changed by hand motion of a user, and made in a ring shape to be worn on a wrist of the user, an EMG transferring unit 20 connected to the EMG measuring unit 10 for transferring the EMG measured by the EMG measuring unit, an EMG determining unit 30 mounted to one side of the EMG transferring unit 20 for receiving EMG from the EMG transferring unit to determine the hand motion and extract an input signal for the mobile phone corresponding to the hand motion, and a mobile phone functioning unit 40 receiving the input signal from the EMG determining unit for functioning the mobile function and having an antenna and a sound transferring device.

Abstract: Provided is an apparatus for a home network middleware interoperability service using a home gateway and an OSGi platform and method thereof, the apparatus comprising: a plurality of home network devices in which various types of middlewares are mounted; a home gateway in which a plurality of middleware bundles for supporting the various types of middlewares and an OSGi platform are mounted, and with which information on the home network devices is transferred to an external network; and a service provider connected to the home gateway via an external network and receiving information on the home network devices and downloading to the home gateway the middleware bundles appropriate to the user's home network to provide the middleware interoperability service.
