Abstract: Water-source heat pump systems include a solar heater to supplement heating operations and a radiative cooler such as one or more radiative cooling panels to allow the system to reject heat. The system can be controlled based on a target temperature, a current temperature, and temperatures at one or both of the solar heater and/or the radiative cooler, selecting a mechanical cooling mode, a hybrid cooling mode, a free cooling mode, a hybrid heating mode, or a free heating mode based on the temperatures.
