    Abstract: A method of associating a plurality of mobile devices with a plurality of transmission points in a wireless communication system for a set of the plurality of transmission points is disclosed. The method comprises dividing the plurality of mobile devices into a plurality of mobile device groups according to a plurality of signal qualities between the plurality of transmission points and the plurality of mobile devices by using at least one statistical learning technique; and associating one of the plurality of mobile device groups with one of a plurality of transmission groups, wherein the plurality of transmission groups are obtained from the plurality of transmission points.
