Abstract: An apparatus for generating depth information includes: a receiver which receives a two-dimensional (2D) image signal including a plurality of frames; a user input unit; a user interface (UI) generator which generates a tool UI to input guide information for generating depth information; a display unit which displays a frame for which depth information is generated among the plurality of frames, and the generated tool UI; and a depth information generator which generates depth information corresponding to the guide information input by the user input unit through the tool UI.

Abstract: Disclosed are an apparatus and method for converting 2D video contents into 3D video contents. The method includes: displaying a first work user interface (UI) relating to at least one item for converting 2D contents into 3D contents; by a first worker, determining a working direction relating to performing a conversion upon the at least one item by using the first work UI; displaying a second work UI showing the working direction determined by the first worker; and by a second worker, executing the working direction upon the at least one item by the second work UI. Accordingly, when a plurality of workers performs one or more 2D-3D conversions, work efficiency is improved, and good communication between workers is enabled.

Abstract: A for providing channel list generates a plurality of channel lists including a plurality of channels, the channel lists aligned by a plurality of alignment standards, and displays the plurality of channel lists on a screen. When one of the plurality of channels is selected from one of the plurality of channel lists, the selected channel is displayed. Accordingly, a user becomes able to easily compare various channels that the user wishes to view through the plurality of channel lists aligned by each alignment standard, providing convenience in selecting TV programs by the user.

Abstract: A display apparatus includes an image processor which processes an image to display an image content; a display unit which displays thereon an image content that is processed by the image processor; and a controller which displays a user interface (UI) menu including a plurality of UI items to search the image content, as one of a two-dimensional (2D) layout by which the plurality of UI items are arranged in a 2D manner, and a three-dimensional (3D) layout by which the plurality of UI items are arranged in a 3D manner , and changes displaying the one of the layouts to display the other of the layouts according to a user's command while maintaining a continuity of the arrangement of the plurality of UI items. Accordingly, search for an image content can be efficiently performed by using a UI menu.

Abstract: A method for providing a list of contents and a multimedia apparatus applying the same are provided. At least one of a set of attributes relating to current content that is being played is set as a reference attribute, and a list of contents which are associated with the current content in terms of an attribute value of the reference attribute is displayed on a content play screen. Accordingly, a user is able to utilize a list of desired contents more easily and simply than known heretofore.

Abstract: Provided is a method of generating a content playlist. The method includes: selecting an item of content included in a first content playlist, selecting a metadata item, which is a search base, from one or more items of metadata associated with the selected item of content, searching for one or more contents having a metadata item value equal to or similar to a metadata item value of the selected metadata item, and generating a second content playlist using the searched for one or more contents.

Abstract: A user interface for navigating content to be reproduced by selecting a filtering condition according to a user's preference on the basis of a playlist, a method of navigating content using the user interface, an apparatus for reproducing content, and a computer-readable storage medium having embodied thereon a program for executing the method are provided. The user interface navigates content using a method including displaying a first playlist on the basis of all reproducible pieces of content; receiving at least one content filtering condition; displaying a second playlist according to the received content filtering condition; and receiving a desired content select signal on the basis of the first playlist or the second playlist. Accordingly, the depth of a menu can be reduced, a playlist reflecting a user's preference can be created, and whether the content to be navigated exists can be more accurately perceived during content navigation.

The method includes using a correlation between a first attribute and a second attribute to determine values of the second attribute, wherein the first attribute is one of a plurality of attributes of the contents-related items, the second attribute is one of a plurality of attributes of a plurality of blocks which is a part or a region of a screen, and each one of the plurality of blocks corresponds to each one contents-related item; and displaying the one or more contents-related items by displaying each corresponding block having the determined value of the second attribute on the screen, wherein the first attribute and the second attribute can be quantitatively represented.

Abstract: Provided are a method and apparatus for providing help information about manipulating an apparatus. The method includes determining help information to be provided according to a state of button manipulation by a user, determining at least one notifying method for providing the help information referring to behavior pattern information of the user, and outputting the help information to a user manipulator using the at least one notifying method.
