  • Patent number: 7459507
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for terminating anionic polymerization using phosphate ester/water mixture, more particularly to a novel method for terminating anionic polymerization using phosphate ester/water mixture as a polymerization terminator in a living polymer solution prepared by the anionic polymerization, so that the polymerization can be terminated effectively, without coupling or discoloration and with less production of basic materials that affect the antioxidant, thereby enabling control of acidity without necessitating a further neutralization process.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 10, 2007
Date of Patent: December 2, 2008
Assignee: Korea Kumho Petrochemical Co., Ltd.
Inventors: Sam-min Kim, Young Jin Kim, Seung Il Kim, Ji-Eun Ryu
