Abstract: Disclosed herein are a blood glucose measurement module, a smart phone combinable with the blood glucose measurement module, and a blood glucose measurement method using the same. The blood glucose measurement module includes a body, a strip reception slit, and a plug. The body includes a blood glucose measurement unit for measuring a blood glucose level of blood absorbed into a test strip and a CPU for calculating and transmitting the results of the measurement of the blood glucose level. The strip reception slit is formed in a part of the body, and receives the test strip. The plug is formed on one end surface of the body, and is easily fitted into the socket of a smart phone.

Abstract: The present invention provides a blood glucose measurement method using a blood glucose meter having a step counter function. In the blood glucose measurement method, a blood glucose level is measured in blood glucose measurement mode. The measured blood glucose level is configured in a form of data, the data is stored in a control unit, and the measured blood glucose level is displayed on a display unit under control of the control unit. Current mode is switched to step counting operation mode. The number of steps taken by a user is counted in the step counting operation mode and a count result is displayed on the display unit. Accordingly, the blood glucose measurement method is advantageous in that the amount of exercise and the blood glucose level can be selectively measured by the blood glucose meter, thus enabling the blood glucose measurement method to be conveniently used.
