    Abstract: Adaptive hybrid ARQ methods and apparatuses using a concatenated FEC are disclosed. One method includes dividing data to be transmitted into a header and a payload. The header and payload are encoded to divide them into a plurality of headers and payloads. The plurality of headers and the plurality of payloads are combined to generate a plurality of combined packets. The plurality of combined packets are combined with different perforation patterns, to generate a plurality of transmission packets, and the transmission packets are sequentially transmitted according to an error generation report.
